Det här kan du vänta dig

Din turné börjar med hämtning från ditt centrala Funchal-hotell. Resa ombord på en bekväm buss eller buss, ge dig ut längs öns sydkust för att nå de höga havsklipporna i Girão Cape (Cabo Girão).

Pausa för att beundra den spektakulära utsikten från den högsta udden i Europa på en höjd av 1 900 fot (580 meter), innan du anländer till den livliga byn Ribeira Brava. Strosa runt i byn och beundra den vackra kyrkan São Bento, och bege dig sedan norrut över den dramatiska Paul da Serra-platån.

Följ en naturskön väg runt den nordvästra kusten, kör genom Ribeira da Janela-dalen och anländ sedan till Porto Moniz i tid för lunch (egen bekostnad). Efter att ha njutit av traditionell mat från Madeira kan du svalka dig med ett dopp i en naturlig pool innan du beger dig till Seixal, där utsiktspunkten Véu da Noiva erbjuder imponerande utsikt över de omgivande klipporna och vattenfallen.

Gå tillbaka mot Funchal, stanna för att ta bilder från bergstoppen Encumeadas utsiktspunkt, kör sedan genom de UNESCO-listade landskapen i Laurissilva-skogen.

Marco is a true professional in every way. His ability to navigate any and all issues with transportation was incredible. He was safe, on time, kept to the schedule and provided great service all day long. His expertise of the area, history and interesting facts made the day even more enjoyable. The van was new and roomy. The places he brought us to were breathtaking and truly a marvel to behold. He represents the company extremely well. He is a true gem. We would recommend this tour with Marco to everyone!!!

This would have been a great tour if the weather had cooperated. We had a great time and went to many great parts of the island with lots of terrific narrative from the driver. Unfortunately the rain and fog left many of the areas unviewable. On a clear day this would have been a tremendous value

We had a wonderful guide, Jose. He did his best to make sure we had a great day and was very accomodating. However, he had a van that was overbuilt and there was absolutely no legroom for anyone of normal height. let along 6 ft. men. In a van normally made for 12, they have made seats for 18. Since the tour was from 9 to 4, and most of the day driving in the van, we were very unomfortable. We felt like sardines. Would never have booked this tour had I known they were craming so many in the van. It was full.

This tour was run by Lido Tours. An excellent company that turns up on time and has a serious presence on the island as a travel operator too. Marco spoke good English and gave us some excellent history of the island. V safe driver.. A great itinerary with places we would not easily get to with a hire car. He stopped in safe places en route so that we could get photos. Amazing that it was too cold and windy to swim in the volcanic pools of the North but sunny when we returned to Funchal. Excellent value for money. Given the distance covered I don't think we could do it ourselves for less. Easier walking than the East tour overall.

The tour was beautiful.some really amazing views and sights to see. Roberto was really informative and knowledgeable. We found the second stop a bit boring and didn't really see the point of it. But other than this all the other stops were great. The stop at Porto Moniz has many food places to choose from. The driver offered us a deal with a restaurant which was €19 including drinks, but when he phoned ahead to booked they were already fully booked. We got drinks, chips and ice cream at another restaurant nearby and spent €24 total.

Bruno - our driver and guide was excellent. He gave us a great deal of information as we travelled through various areas. We were given sufficient time at every stop and thoroughly enjoyed our day. We enjoyed his humour and commentary. He answered any questions. Was a wonderful day - despite the weather and Bruno was a great driver.

Great tour guide and places visited Bit this was an awful day - you booked 5 children on a tiny bus with all of us other travellers/ they were the worst behaved children with parents who clearly had the worst parenting skills I had to endure my seat being kicked, constant shouting and screaming for what was 8 hours! We could not even hear the driver! I would never recommend this your - you will end up losing money as nobody wants to w fire brats on their holiday - these were real brats! You should have a policy of not allowing children under 12 on your tours - those with small children should do a private tour! I have a tour booked with you on 2nd Jan - I hope there won’t be not be any brats on that tour:) I plan up come to Madeira often on the future and if my next lido tour had any brats, no way would I ever recommend to friends or go on another Lifo tour again!

The Best of the West tour was a fantastic way to see the beauty of Madeira. Our tour guide, Nuno, was incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s plants and agriculture, and he took us to wonderful spots to explore and take photos. Another bonus was that we were always ahead of the cruise ship tour buses and were able to experience these areas without the crowds. I highly recommend this tour and Nuno, thank you for a lovely day!
