Höjdpunkten på mitt Malé-besök!

Det var ett privilegium att gå runt i Malé med Nafsha och Archie och lära sig om landet direkt från maldivianerna. Jag älskade att smaka på lokala snacks på matmarknaden och vår pratstund om livet på Maldiverna över förfriskningar. Jag önskar bara att vi kunde ha sett Tsunamimonumentet också, men tyvärr är det för närvarande i andra änden av ön

Insiktsfull och intressant rundtur

Shaffaff var vår reseguide och visade oss historien om denna unga, spirande nation Maldiverna med sådan passion och visade också en mängd kunskap! Vi lärde oss mycket om arvet, politiken och historien i landet, och fick också chansen att prova lokala snacks och se lokala sevärdheter på den lokala torra och våta marknaden under turnén. Det var insiktsfullt och ger ett annat perspektiv än resorten - det intryck de flesta skulle ha av Maldiverna! Kommer 10/10 att rekommendera denna turné!

Uppfyllde inte förväntningarna

Hej, 4 timmars resa och pengarna är inte värt att betala för denna resa. Allt i Male är mycket nära. Om du behöver mycket berättande , dvs av 4 timmar 3 . 5 timmar är berättande och 30 minuter är att täcka verkliga platser. Jag rekommenderar inte om du bara ska se platserna. Platserna kan täckas av din egen. Jag kände att pengar var för mycket för absolut ingenting från deras sida. Beskrivningen säger att operatören erbjuder snacks och te i slutet men vi erbjöds inte ens te eller vatten för den delen. Även om vår reseguide var mycket energisk och med mycket information som vi inte var intresserade av. Vi avslutade turnén på bokstavligen 1 . 30 timmar genom att dra den ett tag. Vänligen notera, Ramadan månad, platser skulle vara stängda och researrangören nämner inte detta på webbplatsen. Hon tar fortfarande pengar som vanligt men du kommer att bli informerad den dagen abt stängning av några platser som de besöks.

Dear Laxmi, Thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear you did not feel the tour offered value for money and that there was too much story telling. Checking back on our initial communication with you when you made your booking 10 days prior to tour, we did advise that it was the month of Ramadan and during this period inclusions are subject to change as local cafes will be closed during daylight hours, however, I understand from your guide that refreshment in the way of Maldivian snacks and kurumba was offered during the visit to the markets. Ramadan does not impact any of the other locations included in our tour. You had contacted me the evening of the day prior to the tour to advise that you needed to be at the airport by 16:00 in order to take a speedboat and could we start the tour earlier. We arranged to meet with you at a different jetty location for your convenience at 12:00, 2 hours earlier than the scheduled time as we had guide availability that day and were able to offer flexibility, despite there being other guests booked on the same tour. Due to the activity that you were participating in with another operator prior to our tour not returning you to Male until 13:00 and that you also wanted to depart back to the airport at 15:30, you were only able to spend 2 and half hours with us. We believe, as do the large proportion of our guests travelling with us based on review feedback, that storytelling is an important part of our tours. It brings history alive and creates a participatory and more immersive experience. You highlighted with your guide that you were particularly interested in taking photos of the key sights only and he ensured that this was achieved, whilst also encouraging you to visit other areas of the city that would also allow some great photo opportunities but you decided against this as you didn't want to walk to far. I am sorry you were disappointed but perhaps on this occasion we were not the right style of tour company for your own personal requirements. Kind Regards Ruth

PERFEKT storbildsöversikt över Maldiverna genom att gå runt dess superkondenserade nationella huvudstad, Male. Min guide, den supersmarta och kosmopolitiske "Hajen" (LOL, han vet, det är hans roligare smeknamn än den annars intetsägande Muhamed), är inte bara en bra berättare, han har också den (sällsynta) insikten att sätta saker i perspektiv i den större världsbilden för sina gäster, från historia och geografi till islamisk ökultur och pågående miljöfrågor för denna energiska nation med flera öar. Ta dig tid att göra den här turen innan eller efter att du har slagit till stranden eftersom den kommer att visa dig en helt annan sida av Maldiverna, ett fascinerande multikulturellt land vars historia är både unik och universell i världen.

mycket intressant turné

Turnén var riktigt intressant och trevlig. Vi rörde vid alla de viktigaste platserna i Mal och hamnade på den lokala marknaden och provade flera produkter inklusive kokos och torr fisk. Jag skulle säga att det är en nödvändig rundtur på en resa till Maldiverna för att upptäcka den kulturella rikedomen hos ett folk som blomstrade av svårigheten att försörja sig på små isolerade öar i Indiska oceanen. UB och Shark var två omtänksamma guider som gjorde ett dedikerat jobb med att vara ambassadörer för detta land som är mycket mer intressant än vad dess tjusiga resorter kan antyda.

Mohamed Shark was an excellent guide. Very personable and informative. Unfortunately, a person in a handicap scooter signed up for this walking tour, which meant we couldn’t progress at the expected pace. Our tour ended up being 3 hours instead of four. Our time with Mr. Shark was wonderful, but unfortunately he had to spend a lot of time looking after the handicap person which took away from our experience. Please designate that walking tours are not appropriate for handicap scooters.

Fun & Interesting City Tour

My husband and I had one day to see Male and thought this tour would be a great way to learn more about the city’s history and the sites - we are so glad that we did it! Archie and Shark were both so friendly and very knowledgeable guides. They gave us detailed information and a well round tour while also giving us real insight into the city with entertaining anecdotes along the way! Highly recommend! Ruth was also lovely to deal with re the booking.

Not worth it

The guide shark , he was a lovely, genuine and honest person, very informative and an all round good guy and even though he try his best for us to enjoy the tour I just think it was far too expensive and didn't worth the money we had to pay for it.

We heard from Shark that you had to leave the tour early at 5pm for your transfer and missed out on seeing the inside of Friday mosque and visiting Majeediyya school. Our Male Walking Tour on Viator is a scheduled tour of 4 hours. Should you have booked directly with us we could have taken your transfer timings into account and arranged a more flexible 3 hour Male tour.
