Great guide, Jesus "Washington", personable knowledgeable,spoke clear English. Water, soda provided on van. Some beautiful scenery, town sights and 1 1/2 hrs at beach with free lounge chairs. Great value with minimal wasted shopping time

David was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job overall! He made sure, as a a good host would, that we would be comfortable. Even when there was no alcohol, he made sure to stop by to get some on request. He would give informative details about the area we would pass/stop by and there was plenty of time to ask him questions which our group really didn’t take advantage of. Another thing we appreciated is the fact that he would turn on the van and put the air on when we came back from the different stops we made and were waiting for the rest of the group. The meeting point was right outside the cruise port building under one of the blue umbrellas. You’ll see someone holding up a sign but even if you miss it, you can ask someone in a blue shirt and they’ll instruct you where to go. Once we were there, our whole group had made it so as soon as he took count, we were off. The amount we paid for this tour was more than fair. Out of the 4 stops that we made, the first one was the best personally. The overlook view was incredible. You get to see what is the world’s highest lighthouse and the distant high rises of Mazatlán. If you’re fortunate enough, you’ll also get to see the only diver that dives from that specific cliff. We missed him unfortunately but just seeing how tall that cliff is, it would have been impressive. You’ll be able to see other divers on one of the other stops but the cliff is not nearly as tall. Overall, this was a great deal and we’re glad we did it.

Superb tour

I have done 12 cruises and almost never book the excursions sold by the cruise ships so have done many "tours in a van at a cruise ship port." This was the best one ever. David was easy to find and quickly gathered the 8 of us with 5 others and went to get a luxurious van. We had just the right amount of time at the viewpoint, the cliff divers, downtown, and the Golden Zone. David made it clear that we could have longer at these stops if the group wanted that. He told us where to find clean washrooms downtown and suggested where we ought to walk. At the Golden Zone, we got to use the pool, chairs, washrooms and beach at a hotel (I had done similar tours in Mazatlan twice before and we were simply dropped near the beach). There was no pressure to buy food or drink at the hotel and in fact we took the drinks that David provided with us to the beach. David made us amazingly good Margaritas at one stop and replenished the drinks when he knew what beer and soft drinks were popular. A real bonus was there was no "forced shopping" on this tour, but there were plenty of vendors around if people wanted souvenirs. David spoke excellent English.

We enjoyed our trip with Eduardo! He is hilarious and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about his town. The van was clean and he drives very safely. The AC was a blessing since it was very hot! There were 11 people in the van and it was comfortable. A perfect shore excursion!

Carlos did an amazing job of giving the history and background of Mazatlan. Would highly recommend to anyone for their first time in Mazatlan. Very convenient pickup for cruise passengers.

Viator tour, you can’t be aware of how unprofessional this tour is being conducted. We got off the ship found a guy who showed us an email with our names gave us a sticker told us to hold tight so he could wait for another couple of people after 20 minutes of waiting he said that he didn’t have a van for us. We were just put on a taxicab with no narration, no location guide of the city and asked where did we want to go for 2 and half hours. We was taken to the beach for 1 hour then brought back to the ship. After we gave the driver a tip he asked us had we paid the other guy for the trip. Terrible taxi tour.

Great general tour to learn about the history and layout of Mazatlan

From the cruise port to town, you need to take some transportation and this tour was a great way to see a lot of Mazatlan in a reasonable amount of time. Stops for photos, funny stories along the way, Jose was hilarious and accommodating. Like many places, there was the obligatory stop at an art and jewelry store but they gave out free margaritas for your browsing pleasure so there was that! Definitely a bargain compared to cruise ship prices. Very pleased.

We took the sightseeing tour to Mazatlan. we met Carlos at the Cruise terminal we were on the Carnival Panorama. He immediately offered us water, and sodas. It was a lovely tour. He is definitely well spoken with his English, and took it all around. We did not have the lunch tour, but he asked everyone if they would like to go to the beach for lunch, and everyone in our van did so he took us to a Great Beach Spot, near the golden zone. I was with my best friend and enjoyed it so much would definitely do it again. Everything was very easy as we met in the cruise terminal. I would definitely recommend this tour for everyone, families, couples, and even singles. Thank you for your great excursion, and again, thank you Carlos for taking us around love Andrea and Barb.
