An amazing experience

The guide was helpful and friendly. The ride was long, but comfortable, the walk in the mountains was amazing. We didn’t even mind the biting cold wind. The lunch afterwards was astonishing, with more meat and wine than I could imagine.

A wonderful day in the Argentinian Andes.

Wally & Pablo were excellent. Pablo is a very friendly guy and gave us a lot of information about the Andes region we were visiting. Pablo is very enthusiastic and entertaining which makes it easy to follow. He did so in Portuguese and English, which was very helpful. The stops were perfect and we got enough time to enjoy the views and take photographs. The lunch at el Rancha was fantastic, what a great place. Pablo supplied us with a wonderful wines from Budeguer which I later bought when I was back in Mendoza. Wally the driver is a very good driver, who knows his way around this region. The drive was good as many of us even fell asleep during the way back, despite some harsh roads. I would definitely recommend this tour to friend and family visiting this region.

Federico of Trout and Wine Tours was a very personable, fun and engaging guide who shared his passion for all things Argentinian with us! The bus ride is long, but with fantastic scenery all along the way. A great way to spend a day while visiting Mendoza!

Hi Jon. Yes, its a long way to Aconcagua Park; over three hours, but we try our best to break it up with stops and coffee breaks. The most important thing is we go into the park and walk for an hour. Many agencies just stop at the entrance for 5 minutes and then carry on.

Great sights but lacking information

A well organised trip that took in some fantastic sights, breakfast and lunch stops were appreciated and food was plentiful and tasty. However, there was very little information offered during the trip which was a shame given the length of the drive.

Bait, Switch, and Overcharge

This event waa canceled due to a zonda. The local operator offered an alternative trip to taste wines at three wineries in the Uco Valley with lunch at the last one for $30 more. As it transpired, the highway to the last two of these wineries was closed due to the zonda, so the guide took us to the dining room of yet another winery instead. Given that we did not get what we were promised when we signed up for the alternative trip and that the local operatorwaa better placed than the customers to know abiut the weatherconditions, everyone who went ought to be given at least a partial refund.

Hi Steven, your review unfairly implies that we somehow tricked you. The weather turned ugly during the wine tour and we had to improvise and find alternative wineries closer to Mendoza. Anybody who got in touch has been offered a 25% refund.
