Rude tour guide and host

Tour guide picked us up from the resort and we had about a 30 minute drive to the site. Once we got there my partner and I did not bring our drivers license. Tour guide explained that we should have received a detailed email instructing us to bring our drivers license. The lady working the front desk searched my entire inbox and saw that I never received that email, she even called the company who should have emailed. I did not forgot my drivers license, I was never instructed to bring it. Once we realized they did not care and there was nothing they could do , we asked if they could drive us back. The tour guide was so rude and said no we have to sit here for 2 hours until everyone is finished with the tour or he can cut the tour earlier for everyone and take us back. Long story short these people were so nasty and rude to us and refused to help us in anyway. They suggested we get on the back of our friends bikes, we did not want to inconvenience any one so that was not a option for us. We simply just wanted a ride back to the resort, we ended up spending $65 on a Uber to take us back.

We are looking into it now and will get back in touch with you and re-post soon. ----------------- I have spoken to the guides wo were with you that day. here is what I found: You reserved on Viator where these important pieces of info are written: The main snowmobile page says ""Must be 18 and over and have a valid driver's license in hand throughout the activity (copy and photo not accepted)."" Your Viator Ticket said ""Minimum age for drivers is 18 years and must have a valid driver's license"" The reason for this is that most of the snowmobile trails in our province, including the ones we use on our tours, are public and patrolled by police. The police will fine you directly for driving a snowmobile without having a valid automobile drivers licence. There are quite a few requirements to be able to snowmobile on public trails. Safety is a priority for us, so we make sure each of our machines has FCMQ trail permits, civil liability insurance, provincial vehicule registration, and that our drivers are of minimum age, respect the speed limits, understand how the snowmobile operates, and of course that they have a valid drivers licence with them. We are really surprised that you found the guides to be rude. They are generally super fun and kind people but, they occasionally do have to give bad news. We have shared your comments with them. They tried to offer some other solutions like cutting the ride short so you wouldn't have to wait as long for the ride back, or putting you on as passengers instead of drivers, but you didn't like those options. We're sorry we couldn't make it work out.

Great Snowmobile Tour!

The trail is boring but the tour guys did a great job. Were organized, fun and polite. But in Lake Placid the trail is much more challenging.

Hi, and thanks for the feedback. Yes, this year early season conditions left us with no trail choices except one. Its gets better as the season goes on. Btw, Lake Placid had/has the same problem or worse this holiday season.
