One of the best nature tours we have taken. Pristine boat - captain incredibly knowledgeable and personable - patient - and we saw gators up close - as well as many birds and turtles. His explanations of everything were detailed and so interesting - outstanding tour. Darling gift shop with reasonable prices. Immaculate restroom in the gift shop. Great experience!

Captain Sid was very knowledgeable and I learned quite a bit about the ecology of the area. Lots to see osprey, turtles, alligators and peacocks at the dock

The Waccamaw River Nature & Wildlife Tour was absolutely serine, beautiful and interesting. One caution though as a person of color. I suggest the tour guides refrain from telling the story of the people of West Africa, who were violently captured and enslaved against their will. They did not accompany the Colonist for a tour of the America’s looking forward to a life of enslavement. It was just unnecessary to tell and uncomfortable to hear. It was an horrific time in the US. Let’s tell the truth and continue forward.

Captains Michelle and Sid are professional, funny and extremely knowledgeable about their environment. This tour should be on EVERYONE'S list of things to do in the area, especially if you have kids. The birds, turtles and gators on the river are awesome.

Cruising on fresh water in a swamp, seeing osprey, turtles, snakes, cypress trees, vultures, a large American alligator, and hearing all the stories about the Waccamaw River and Socastee Creek area along with the history of the Intracoastal Waterway and the influence of rain and wind on animals, people, and plants was all fascinating to us Oregonians.

The cruise was phenomenal. We loved every minute of it! We learned so much, saw alligators, osprey, egrets, huge turtles, etc. The Captains were so sweet and knowledgeable, as well as hilarious! We had so much fun! Thank you Captain Rick, Bella, and the other fabulous Captain (I am terrible with names, so please forgive me—I remember Rick’s name only because he is Bella’s Dad). Great 1.5 hour cruise with entertaining animal stories Florida used electric boats Ray outboard that made it easier to hear wildlife.

Not a lot of familiarity with the inter coastal waterway. Not living near the ocean and being introduced to something I’ve heard about but never spent time thinking of it made it that much more interesting. The guide was entertaining. A little corny at times but not over the top. I recommend it for everyone
