Relaxing and Educational

Capt Gary was very informative about the history and the development/layout of Marco Island. He pointed out a number of wildlife and we saw a few dolphins as well. It was just us and another couple, so it made for a very relaxing cruise.

Somewhat Disappointed

The weather was wonderful and our guide was very knowledgeable. We got to see some dolphins and some nice homes but we were disappointed that we didn’t get to see more of Marco island especially the hotels and beaches on the gulf.

Thanks for joining us on the Best of Marco tour. Our customers safety and comfort is always our first priority. When it is windy or if there are elevated wave heights in the Gulf of Mexico we do not go into the Gulf. Unfortunately on these days that means we don’t see the gulfside beaches or beachfront hotels on the tour. Luckily the 10,000 Islands are protected waters from these rough and choppy waters in the open gulf and we can still conduct our tours. Thanks for your feedback.

Awesome dolphin sightings

We saw so many dolphin frolicking. It was amazing to be so close to them their natural habitat. Captain Nate was fun, very nice and a great skipper. We learned how Marco Island came to be. I wish we learned a little more about the mangroves and the history of the inhabited islands.

Exciting dolphin experience

We saw several dolphins on our tour. Two of the dolphins saw alongside the boat for awhile. Our tour guide shared knowledge of the birds, dolphins and about the homes on the island.

Worth it!

Capt. Nate was very knowledgeable and personable! I had to drag my son and husband to do this and they wound up being very glad they came. Saw plenty of dolphins, a stingray and lots of birds. Enjoyed seeing some of the beautiful gulf front homes as well. Stayed in Goodland after for lunch at Crabby Lady. Excellent day! The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that bottled water was not included in the tour! Nate kindly gave me one when I asked, but it was not an offering.

There is also a store at the marina that sells, beer, water, snacks, hats, sweatshirts, etc. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!

Fun, smooth boat ride to Dome House

We absolutely loved the Marco Island boat tour to the Dome House. Capt Nate pointed out a lot of wildlife to us. Birds, and even a new species of morphed bird (2 species that have recently cross-bred and created a new one!). He picked up a dolphin’s cue that it wanted to play and drove the boat alongside so it could race along with us and jump through our wake—which made for great videos! Capt Nate also spotted a turtle up on the surface of the water—it was huge, but we would never have seen it by ourselves, as they blend it. And he provided pictures of what the dome house originally looked like, along with a lot of info about it, which was really fun and exciting to experience. Thank you CAPT NATE!!! And thank you Viator for AGAIN providing a 5-star sightseeing excursion (this one through Florida Island Tours).

Dolphins, Manatees and cool Dome House!!!

Wow! What an incredible tour. Captain Nate and Captain Jules were awesome! We saw so many marine animals on the way to the dome house. Captain Nate has hawk eyes and can spot manatee and dolphins from a far. Whenever he saw them, he took us close so we can see them. The highlight was when the dolphins started to chase us right behind the boat. It was so magical when the dolphins started to swim along side us! The dome house was so cool to see in person as well. Captain Nate shared interesting background information about the dome house. Overall, the boat ride was amazing! Seeing the dolphins up close and personal was amazing! Dolphins swimming with the boat was so incredible! Seeing Manatee was cool! The Dome house was so interesting. We are so happy we did the tour with Captain Nate and Captain Jules! Thank you!

Captain Nate was great at going over the history of the dome houses and we got lucky we were the only ones booked for that time. We got a fun view of some dolphins too. Would do it again with friends from out of town before there is no more dome houses to tour.
