Att turnera i Nassau med barn!? GÖR DET HÄR!!!

"Jag älskar turnéer med barn!" var Christas deklaration. För vissa hör man att det betalas som läpparnas bekännelse. För Christa, *hon menade det verkligen. * Hon tillbringade en betydande mängd tid, mellan att ge en otrolig inblick i att dela sin stolthet över sitt hem, och ställa frågor med sådan energi och passion. Alla fem i vårt parti hade en otrolig tid att stödja en lokal som lever för att dela den sanna Bahaman-historien. Turnén var vacker, välgjord och full av spontan diskussion. Det här var inte enbart en manushändelse med frågor fyllda med ett-ordssvar så att guiden kunde återgå till de memorerade aspekterna av manuset. Om du vill ha en sann *äkta* turné som du kommer att vara stolt över att berätta för dina vänner och familj om (och inga tvivel om att det är värt pengarna... vänligen ge Christa möjligheten att visa dig sitt hemland genom en lokals ögon .

Vi hade en fantastisk promenad genom Nassau med Crista. Hon var rolig och vänlig och full av information. Jag visste väldigt lite om öns historia och i slutet av vår turné visste jag mycket mer om piratkopieringens och slaveriets historia, regeringen, intressanta historiska byggnader, färgsystemet på deras officiella byggnader, fruktträd som vi passerade längs vägen, och jag kunde fortsätta. Utan Crista skulle vi förmodligen ha vandrat på gatorna, tråkigt hur färgglada byggnaderna är, kollat på Straw-marknaden och inte lärt oss något om ön vi var på. Tack för en mängd information och en chans att få bort några av dessa semesterkalorier. Det känns som att vi har en vän i Nassau.

Jag har gjort "gratis turer" i Sofia och Lissabon och båda var utmärkta upplevelser så när jag såg Crista erbjuda en turné hoppade jag på detta. Crista var lätt att nå med WhatsApp. När mötesplatsen ändrades kontaktade hon mig via den här appen. Vi träffade flera kvarter från kryssningsterminalen (ca 5 minuters promenad) på ett lokalt torg, Crista var mycket informativ om Bahamas och Nassaus historia. Härifrån ger vi oss ut på en vandringstur med flera stopp av sevärdheterna i Nassau. Jag är en vandrare så den här turen var perfekt för mig och min bror. Crista är vänlig, öppen för frågor och trivs verkligen med sitt jobb. Jag fyller som om jag fick en bahamisk vän! Och jag skulle gärna ta en tur till med henne. Jag tror att hennes turné är perfekt för en liten grupp. Mitt favoritstopp var Chokladfabriken, du måste prova Tamarind Chocolate!

Denna turné var fantastisk! Christa är mycket uppmärksam, informativ och personlig. Hon kunde göra turnén rolig, lärorik och målmedveten. Vi parades ihop med 2 andra personer (också från NYC) och det kändes som livslånga vänner under turnén! Christa gick utöver och förlängde turnén med en timme eller så, tog oss platser vi ville se och till och med ledde oss till en fantastisk restaurang långt ur hennes väg. Skulle rekommendera denna turné till alla som besöker Nassau som vill ha en AUTENTISK Bahamian-upplevelse.

Jag gick nyligen på KINDWalk-turen i Nassau, ledd av den supercoola guiden Christa. Det var en gratis rundvandring, och jag gick med på den vid 13-tiden. Låt mig berätta att det var en riktigt avslappnad och cool upplevelse. Redan från början fick Christa alla att känna sig bekväma. Hon var vänlig och avslappnad, vilket fick turnén att kännas mer som en avslappnad promenad med en kunnig vän. Ingen stress eller press, bara bra vibbar runt om. Christa kunde sin sak när det kom till Nassaus historia och kultur. Hon berättade intressanta historier för oss och delade med sig av lite kända fakta om staden längs vägen. Hennes sätt att förklara saker genom hennes ögon under uppväxten var lätt att förstå och engagerande. Om vi hade några frågor var hon öppen för att svara på dem och uppmuntrade oss att delta i samtalet. Turnén tog oss till några riktigt coola platser. Vi fick se historiska landmärken och små pärlor som gömmer sig i osynligt. Christas rekommendationer och insikter vid varje stopp gav ett extra lager av djup till upplevelsen. Det kändes som att vi verkligen fick en smak av vad som gör Nassau speciell. En av de bästa sakerna med KINDWalk var att den hade ett lugnt tempo. Vi kände oss inte alls förhastade. Vi hade gott om tid att ta bilder, uppskatta omgivningen och bara njuta av stunden. Om du letar efter ett avslappnat och lättsamt sätt att utforska Nassaus historia och kultur, rekommenderar jag starkt KINDWalk. Hatten av för Christa för att hon gjorde turnén så trevlig! ! Jag hoppas att jag visade min uppskattning tillräckligt med tipset jag gav henne. Det var en fantastisk upplevelse som jag inte kommer att glömma! ! Jag har en Bahamian Stranger Friend nu! !

Great walking tour of DT Nassau

Very nice walking tour for the highlights of downtown Nassau. Highlights include the water tower, queens staircase, chocolate factory and rum distillery. Other monuments and specialty buildings like the US embassy were passed by as part of the itinerary. It’s a great way to see a quick rundown within 3 hours. Walked away with restaurant recs for the rest of the trip.

Christa is super friendly as well as "kind," per the tour's title. However, the only places listed on the tour that there is time to experience is the chocolate factory and the distillery. Regarding the other "sights," there is no time to even get a good look at the outside (except from the angle of where the group stands while a brief history is given). It would have been better to spend less time on self-intros and pre-tour talk (I think this was partly to wait for light rain to pass over, but it was about 25 minutes--time that could have been used to get a closer look at places like Fort Fincastle and Christ Church Cathedral). Time was also wasted, stopping for quizzes about local flora. Bottom line: if you are looking for a cheerful, nice local guide to walk you around and point out some places of historical- and agricultural interest in Nassau, this is a good tour for you. Just keep in mind that it's mostly about walking (and walking and walking) and being kind.

Regarding the time spent on tour introduction and discussions about local flora, I apologize if this felt excessive to you. My intention is to create an immersive experience that goes beyond just sightseeing. I believe that fostering meaningful conversations among guests enriches the overall tour experience, allowing for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the surroundings. The "wasted" time are also carefully disguised active rest periods. I also want to address your feedback regarding Fort Fincastle and Christ Church Cathedral. Due to logistical reasons and the varying interests of my guests, I focus on providing external information about these sites. However, I encourage guests who are interested in exploring further to do so at their own pace, and I'm always happy to provide recommendations for further exploration. Tour canceled by Operator less than 24 hrs before the tour

I chose this tour due to the great reviews. However, less than a day before the tour, I got a call to let us know our tour was canceled without any explanation. I appreciate the call and the refund. But this is not good practice as we were left without a tour less than 24 hrs before our arrival in Nassau. At a minimum, we should be given at least 24 hrs notice similar to the requirement for customer cancellation.

I'd like to clarify that the 24-hour cancellation policy primarily pertains to guest cancellations and their eligibility for a full refund. As a tour operator, I strive to accommodate my guests to the best of my ability, but there are instances where unforeseen circumstances may arise that require me to cancel a tour. While I do my utmost to provide advance notice whenever possible, there are times when last-minute cancellations become necessary. Your cancellation was communicated to you via Viator message which is also emailed to you as well as by telephone call at around 6pm the day before your tour which is about 19 hours notice. Please be assured that such decisions are made with careful consideration of various factors, including the availability of resources and the ability to provide a fulfilling experience for my guests. As for your expectation of a detailed explanation for the cancellation, please understand that while I strive to provide excellent customer service, it is not always feasible to offer detailed explanations for every cancellation. Nevertheless, I apologize if this lack of explanation left you feeling dissatisfied. Regarding your mention of being left without a tour within 24 hours of your arrival, there are several tours of Nassau City listed on Viator/Tripadvisor also with glowing reviews and are quite popular therefore I find it difficult to believe that you were unable to find alternative tours.
