It was such a great experience. I agree you have to get the VIP package it made it so much better, you were sitting up by the captain and our Captain Dana was the best and so was Matt. I will definitely be using this again when we have quests coming to visit. Plus we saw Killer Whales on our trip yesterday.

Perfect Afternoon Tour

We had a great day on the tour. It was a sunny day thankfully because you definitely get wet on this one! Lol but all part of the fun. Kayla and Christine were great tour guides. They are knowledgeable and knew exactly where to find the whales. We saw 3 grey whales and they stayed with us for a while. It was a good amount of time on the boat. We even got to see some sea lions at the end.

Comfortable boat. No whales, but about 100 dolphins with the boat motoring right in the middle of them. Excellent. Detailed instructions on where to park car.

A little rocky once we got out there and i was trying not to barf. Which, luckily, I did not. Only spotted dolphins and sea lions - no whales. Must not be whale season.

Hit or miss on whales

It was the Cadillac of catamarans that took about (Catalan). Not crowded at all. No whales today but plenty of dolphins!

Experience of a lifetime

Kayla and Jill were excellent guides!They explained the science of everything that was happening with excitement. We were given a lifetime experience because they found a pod of 7 whales and hundreds of dolphins. They extended the trip one hour because of the magnitude of the encounter for their customers.

We had a great time - saw dolphins, sea lions and a blue whale! The crew was great and it was nice to not have a huge group - there was plenty of seating and it was easy to see everything.

This was a wonderful experience. While we didn’t see any whales, we did see a ton of dolphins, some sea lions and made some pretty great memories with family and friends. It did get a little chilly on the water, so be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket.

Saw a magnificent 70 foot fin whale. Beautiful day. Crew was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. My only complaint was with Viator. Went to a lot of trouble to print tickets as instructed, yet they didn’t need to be printed. Please change that in your web and ticket info.

We enjoyed our trip to see dolphins swimming which was amazing, however I should add up I it wasn't for capitan Larry expirance might not have been as great, Larry really cared for every single passenger and crew Nd made sure we are all are safe and having fun. He really tried very hard to find whale as well. But I guess we had bad luck. I am sure if there was any whale around he would show us. Overall I really want to thank Larry to give us such an amazing experience, he is a big asset to the company

Smooth check in and great crew from start to finish. Enjoyed the ride and sights even though we didn’t spot any whales 3 different pods of dolphins swam by the boat and that was awesome in its self! Memorable experience!

Not a Whale Watching Tour

I have been on many whale watching tours both on the east and west coast. My past experiences have been with extremely knowledgeable guides who were able to educate their guests about whales and were truly actively looking for them on the entire tour. While I understand these are wild, unpredictable creatures, I have never gone on a tour without seeing a whale because the guides knew where and how to find them and actively involved guests, continuously reminding them that they should all be on the lookout for blow holes. This was a nice boat ride. They were more interested in finding dolphins and once we did, spent the bulk of our time with them even though they were feeding and not interested in engaging. Again, I realize this is out of their control, but it was a whale watching tour and they should have moved on to what we paid them to do - look for whales. Extremely disappointing. I brought my daughter and grandson on their first whale watching excursion and it was a serious waste of our time and money. The last one I took was in San Diego - drive further south and check those places out.
