False advertising- you will not see any penguins

There are no penguins. The discovery centre no longer exists. Guide suggested going to the zoo if u want to see penguins. Totally understandable (conservation reasons) why you don’t see penguins but unfortunately the website has not been updated and clearly says “you can see a penguin feeding show”. My son and I were very disappointed, not worth the price.

We didn't see any dolphins or penguins. We had to rush because the last ferry was early that day. It was windy and freezing on the boat. Defenitely not a good experience!

Sea lions and the staff on the ferry and on the Island were the highlight.We were, however, unable to complete the whole tour because I was not aware that the construction would interfere with us seeing the Island and the penguins. We had even hired a wheelchair to help my senior friend, waste of time and effort. The tour guide could not be heard properly as no microphone was used, don't understand why.?

No penguins to be seen on Penguin Island

I took my family to Penguin Island and did the cruise around where we were priviledged to see dolphins at play however we did not see any penguins on the island.

My grandson and I loved seeing the dolphins and the penguins We also enjoyed the information provided by our tour guides on the glass bottom boat and on the Island.

No dolphins 3 sea lions from a distance and 3 penguins … trip to Penguin island on ferry much more value boat had glass bottom that was filthy so could see nothing

The cruise was very enjoyable. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and went out of their way to locate the animals, provide information and answer any questions. We had an enjoyable day and loved learning about and seeing the wildlife in their habitat. I question whether it should still be called penguin island as the expectation is that you’ll see penguins but now know that the chances are small. The staff on the island were also very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. One thing I didn’t like was the amount of emails Viator sent (10) mostly in incomprehensible computer language. One letter of confirmation with tour details and one reminder with extra information would be suffice.

the place itself was gorgeous and I must say the ocean view is breathtaking .however ,the tour guide for the penguin island walk definitely ruined most of it, as she just looks bored with a very plain explication and intro of the island ,and didn’t even take us to see the penguins.Then after we finally spotted one penguin then the staff on the island tell us to keep a distance it was very difficult to spot and we can barely see it from a close distance but even mentioning to see from a far.i totally understand we have to respect the wildlife .Yet it’s called penguin island and if there is no penguins or it’s inconvenient to see then why do they even organize the trip and charged for it .

Feel cheated . Expecting to see more penguins . But when reached the island we only saw lots of seagulls and birds . We walked further and only able to spot one penguin.

We were able to head over to the island earlier than our departure time. The dolphin and sea lion cruise was phenomenal. We were able to see a whole pod of Indi dolphins, I believe there was 8 in total. Our tour guide Garry and Sammy were very knowledgeable and took us to some amazing spots. Then the guided walk was quite interesting as well to understand the island as a whole and know more about the birds / penguins. Unfortunately didn’t get to see any Penguins but that’s okay.

We saw dolphins a mother and baby. Male seals having a spat, skink lizards and nesting birds. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Beautiful colours.

Enjoyed the cruise very informative around the marine park . The Penguin feeding was also enjoyable. Public transport very good too navigate we boarded the train from Perth to Rockingham & connected with the bus as per instructions.(easy) Highly recommend this day out .

Plenty of dolphins, sea lions and pelicans. We had great weather and learnt a lot about the Shoalwater Bay area... very pleasant couple of hours.

Enjoyable. Staff were great. Got to see some dolphins, sea lions and different kinds of birds. Wished though that some passengers could have been less noisy as we missed some of the commentary.
