We were unable to complete the trip because when we arrived for our 10 AM appointment, we were informed that due to the marathon race slots were canceled. This did not make us happy since we were only in town for the day.

We loved having a ride on the Duquesne incline. We brought our grandson to Pittsburgh so he could experience the hilly city and ride the incline with us.

Booked thru visitor. They booked us on a day the hop on hop was closed. I canceled as soon as I found out that day. I have requested a refund from viator !

The Phipps Conservatory...

The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Loved the “Flowers Meet Fashion” exhibit. Worth the price of the tour!!! So many things I wanted to see but needed to take a 2nd day and spend the entire whole visiting the priority city sights!!! Just seeing where they are in the city was rewarding.

Bus stop locations are a mystery…very unhappy.

Visitors website does not give you the exact location of where the bus stops. The description on the schedule was vague so the bus went right by me. I waited an hour for the next one only to find out that it was the last bus of the day and wouldn’t return to my stop. My ticket was non refundable so I’m out$40. I recommend booking with the actual tour company, not thru Viator. The bus drivers said they have more helpful and visible directions of where the exact stops are. Very unhappy as I am not likely to visit Pittsburgh again any time soon.

Enjoyed the informative tour guide. Would have given a higher rating but we had to wait over an hour to hop on due to a walkathon that was going on downtown Pittsburgh that blocked the bus from getting through. It really took away from the hop on/hop off experience since we didn't have enough time to enjoy the activities that we wanted and still get back to our original location.

We’d never done a hop-on-hop-off tour before but figured we’d give it a try on our one full day in Pittsburgh. It was nice to learn about the city highlights in this format. The bus was very crowded though, they only came ever 1 hr 15 min, and the last two busses don’t circle back to early stops…all of which limited the real ability to jump off and back on while still able to complete the circuit. If they had more busses it would help these issues, but as it is make sure you look at the website to understand how it works before committing. (Tip: opt for the Monongahela Incline (stop 4) instead of the Duquesne (stop 5). There is much more to see and do at the top and bottom).

We loved our driver and guide who were both extremely helpful and took great care of us! We learned so much about Pittsburgh’s contributions to each of our lives and loved getting an overview to help us plan our stay.
