Från det ögonblick som vi bokade vår reseguide var Darwin fantastisk! ! Han kommunicerade direkt genom att sms:a oss via what's ap. Gav oss en gps-länk om var man kan parkera och hur mycket det var. På morgonen var han tillgänglig tidigare och skickade ett meddelande till oss vilket var perfekt för oss så vi fick komma i vattnet tidigt! Han kände till alla fantastiska platser. Såg massor av sköldpaddor, fiskar, stingrockor och koraller! ! Han tog bort all stress från planeringen och gjorde det till en fantastisk julupplevelse för vår familj. Han tog till och med bilder och filmer med sin GoPro åt oss trots att vi hade vår egen. Jag rekommenderar verkligen! !

Darwin var en utmärkt guide, mycket medveten om miljön och omsorg om sköldpaddorna. Vi hade en fantastisk tid och fick simma supernära från många sköldpaddor. Rekommenderar det helt!

The tour was very well organised. Marlene gave us all necessary information in advance and Darwin, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the marine life we encountered. Darwin also ensured we had ample opportunities to view the turtles and other marine life without disturbing their natural habitat. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a magical encounter with nature in Akumal. Thank you, Marlene and Darwin!

Darwin our tour guide was very polite and coordinated everything before the tour. Our experience was amazing and he showed us the amazing underwater world. He is very experienced and also equipped to make great photos with his GoPro.

Our guide, Darwin, was excellent! He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable! He took photos with his Go Pro for us. We saw a lot of turtles, rays, and fish, and a pirate canon too! It was amazing!

Couldn't recommend this more - Darwin and Marlene ensured we had all the instructions beforehand (take a rash vest, no sunscreen etc) and Darwin was there to meet us just before the beach opened at 8am. They’d warned that some taxi drivers try to drop at the white arch entrance to the beach rather than at the dive shop - which ours did so it was useful to know to ask for him to carry on further to the dive shop. Darwin had snorkelling equipment if needed and life jackets (compulsory for all) and we were in the water quite quickly. It was a windy day and the waves were bigger than I think they would normally be. Our daughter particularly struggled somewhat and found the experience a bit difficult but Darwin was very good at instructing how best to hold onto the rubber ring he had for her and our son to be pulled along on. We saw lots of turtles including some massive ones and a nice range of fish, corals and some sting rays. We have some lovely photos and videos thanks to Darwin’s go pro too!

Absolutely worth it. You get a private section of Akumal beach which allows you to actually be able to see and swim with the sea turtles. DO NOT TOUCH. You even get pictures from a go pro Darwin takes for you. 10/10

it was a great experience! everything was well organised by marlene. i received the location to park and the meeting point by maps, so it was easy to find both. i higly recommend a private tour, because with 10 other people surrounding you, its hard to see something in the water. the tourguide darwin found a lot of turtles and stingrays we could swim with :-). i didn´t had a cam, but darwin made beautiful pictures and videos while i was snorkeling the the animals. it was worth a great tip for my professional guide, darwin. one of the best eperience on my tour accross yucatan.

This was one of the very best experience of our entire Mexican trip. First because Akumal is so beautiful, but also because Darwin made it a really easy and incredible experience. We booked a 10am session and Darwin was ready with all the equipment and tickets. He is a joyful and knowledgeable man ready to answer all your questions and make you laugh :) The tour last about an hour and it IS SO WORTH IT. By being just the both of us with Darwin, he was guiding us while giving marine biology info, and always on the look for more fauna to look at in the water. Having a private guide and avoiding the big tourist groups is so much more relaxing and efficient in the water. I also recommend booking the earlier time slots so you don’t burn in the water and there are even less people. Honestly, I was not expecting to see so much beautiful fishes, rays, a lot of turtles etc. He also took a lot of pictures underwater of us ! Thanks for the great tour !

Best snorkeling experience we have ever had!

Darwin and his wife took my family on a wonderful snorkeling experience. We not only saw many sea turtles but swam with the tropical fish at the reef at the edge of Akumal Bay. It was a great experience for both the experienced snorkelers as well as our first timer. Would definitely do it again!

Darwin was brilliant, very patient and knowledgeable and clearly cares about preserving the coral reef and the wildlife. We saw tons of sea life including the turtles and this was by far our favourite activity on our trip! Highly recommended!

This is hands down one of the best tours that I have ever been on. It is worth every penny. Our guide Darwin did a great job. We saw several turtles, star fish, squid, stingray and a whole bunch of our marine life.

What an amazing experience! We took the 8 am tour: it was tough to wake up so early but definitely worth it. We were the first ones in the water and saw lots of turtle and fish before the big groups arrive. This is a family business and Marlene and Darwin are super nice and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended! Worth every penny !!!

Darwin’s knowledge and passion for the local wildlife was very evident from the beginning. Great personalized experience where we saw turtles, stingrays, lobsters and several kinds of fish. It was refreshing to have a guide like Darwin who cares about the protection of this natural habitat (in contrast to other tours that we saw).

A whole new world

Darwin met us as soon as we arrived in the parking lot. He immediately made us comfortable - showing us the facilities and explaining how the morning would go. Once we were in the water, a whole new world came alive! We saw countless fish, several turtles and even a lobster. We have been many places in the Caribbean, and my wife said this was by far her favorite experience. I agree! Thank Darwin, you are the best!

Marine and Darwin were a great! We were provided with detailed meeting point details before the tour. Marine collected us outside the dive shop. We thought we were going to be with a group but it was actually just myself, my partner and Darwin so it was more like a private tour. Darwin found us 3/4 turtles, stingray and lots of lovely fish. He took great pictures and videos on the go pro which were sent to us after. The whole experience was fanastic and I would highly recommend.

We were so impressed with our guide Darwin. This was a private tour. We came at 8am, which we thought was a little early but we were the only couple out looking at turtles. Yes, we saw turtles, lots of them. Darwin knew where to look and it was fantastic. He pointed out rays and all the fishes. He paid a lot of attention to us and was always aware of our surroundings. A big plus on this trip was he brought along a gopro and filmed all our experiences for us. As we were finishing our tour, all the groups started to show up. So many people compared to our personalized tour. Make the right decision and take a private tour with Darwin!!!
