Vi njöt verkligen av att se sjuksköterskehajarna. Det var kul att klappa sting ray och vi njöt av revsnorkling och privat strandbad. Besättningen var rolig och väldigt trevlig. Mina barn gillade det och blev fantastiskt behandlade. Sammantaget en bra utflykt.

Tiny enclosure

The sharks and stingrays were kept in a tiny enclosure. The crew were very nice and energetic. They gave fresh fruits and Tostitos salsa as snacks. Brugal rum and fruit juice were served as drinks

Good time overall

We got to the drop off point and then we were waiting for about half an hour before we got on our boat. The water was beautiful and snorkeling was fun but if you're not swimming by coral, you won't see as many fish. After snorkeling, that's when they let people drink. They had some half gallon sized boxed juice boxes they'd pour for people, clear and dark rum, and they had pineapple and melon available. We headed to where they had the shark and stingray encounter. It was cool seeing nurse sharks just swim underneath you but it felt kinda lackluster that you swim to the end of their entrapment and back and then you sit in another section, someone holds a stingray so you can feel it and then you go back to the boat. The whole thing probably took about 10 minutes which makes me feel the price is a higher than it should be. Then we went to a "natural pool" but it was really just a shallow part of the water and there was a dozen other boats anchored in the same area. Every single boat was blasting their own music so it was a bit sensory overload for me but it was nice to get to talk to people from different boats. They had a photographer on board and I'm not sure how much they were charging for pictures but just be wary that they'll just tell you to pose so you have to be firm when declining. I ended up drinking a lot more than I thought and went into the souvenir shop after. Everyone was really nice but, again, if you know you shouldn't be spending money, be firm because they'll try to sway you to buy stuff. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10 cuz the encounter didn't make the price feel worth it and I thought they'd have more fruit available.

A bad experience, which makes me question viator Wa standards

To be honest, this trip was at best disappointing, from waiting for 2.5 hours for somebody on the group in the sun. When we were served, we didn’t have tables to eat. And that was the beginning. The snorkeling went fine, good equipment and a good experience overall. The swimming with the manta rays and sharks was cruel at best. They asked the 15+ of us to jump into a corral when there were a few mantas and maybe one shark. The whole thing was disastrous. I feel sick on how bad the condition of the animals were on top of having us probe and pull these animals. My expectation was totally misguided, I would have hoped to we, humans, be inside a “cage “ and have the animals roam free. It was horrible. After that we had the natural pool, which was marketed as family friendly, which was not. There was 8 other boats each one with their own loud obnoxious music. Definitely not kid friendly. Not only the selection of music, but alcohol all over the place. Ultimately, I would not recommend this trip to nobody and I will certainly hesitate to book anything with aviator in the future.

Amazing experience and super friendly staff from the tour. Dolphin discovery folks didn’t let us take pictures or video and wanted to negotiate to let us take pictures which I blew them off. The snorkeling and natural pool were fun and even our girls loved the experience. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

We were quite pleased with ThomsTours and our snorkeling cruise with sharks and stingrays with "natural swimming pool" excursion. I put natural swimming pool in quotes, because it is essentially just a beach area where the water is only waist-to-chest high right off the coast/beach. Pickup from our resort was right on time. Our driver was friendly and courteous and was waiting to take us back to the resort at the end of the excursion. I can't quite recall the maximum number of passengers that the trip would take, but we were quite surprised to find out that it was just 2 couples (4 people total). In fact, I've heard that other excursions would cancel or reschedule if the outing had so few people. There were 3 or 4 crew members and 4 visitors and we just had the whole boat to ourselves. The salsa and queso dip was great, as was the fruit. The drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were plentiful and as strong as you wanted them, and the snorkeling and time spent on the sandbar was great. My only complaint is that I can't have sugar and I specifically requested when booking that they be sure have any type of diet/light soda and they did not. One of the crew members was in the water with us feeding the fish, so no one would ever complain that they didn't see any fish! I felt bad for the 'harmless' stingray because it appeared that its tail had been cut off. I didn't ask and only hope that this wasn't done intentionally and that it was a natural injury. The sharks were about 7-9 feet long and quite intimidating, but harmless. I was surprised by their very tough and sandpapery feeling skin. My husband was allowed to grab on to a tail and the shark pulled him around the area. Unfortunately, my Go-Pro battery died and I didn't get any of this on video and didn't feel like spending $40 for the disk the photographer had taken. I would have spent $20, but not $40! Would definitely recommend this excursion to couples and families; however, I don't know how wild it might have gotten if it had been a full boat of drinking adults! The only other piece of advice I would give, which has nothing to do with this tour company, is check with any of the excursions to find out exactly where they go. We did three different excursions with three different companies and all three of them went to all of the same places and we saw all of the same fish. The descriptions don't make them sound alike, but they were. Thanks for a great excursion, ThomsTours!

What a great Catamaran trip! the crew was very fun and kept us entertained. Had a stop for snorkeling then encounter with sharks and the stingrays. Alex brought drinks and snacks in the water where it's a little more shallow and the music going. Would recommend and definately do it again.

We just returned from Punta Cana. We booked this catamaran trip from home with some friends that were staying at another resort. It was a great trip! Carlo and his crew did an amazing job. Highly recommend!!

Came to Punta Cana for my birthday with my best friend and decided to try out this excursion. Best decision ever! Crazy Carlos and his crew were top notch and really showed us a good time. The whole staff is friendly and will keep you laughing as well as Amazon views from the boat! Definite must go!

This company was by far the most kind and accommodating that we came across when booking tours in Punta Cana, and we were thrilled with our snorkeling trip with them! The staff was incredibly friendly and upbeat, which we loved, and they made sure that we had fun and were constantly laughing! We were picked up on time from our hotel in the afternoon over to where the boats are, which only took about 15 minutes. We were warmly greeted by David, who speaks both English and Spanish wonderfully we speak both, and he explained all that we would be doing and introduced us to the team! It was just my husband and I, so they took us out on a speed boat where we went over to where the trained sting rays and nurse sharks were. There they brought the stingray over and had us hold it, touch it, take pictures with it, and have it give us a back massage! Lol! Then we went snorkeling just a bit in that section to see a shark, but it was dark down where they were, so I couldn't see them well. After that, they took us over to the party catamaran, where other people were also coming on with us. At that point, another company took over the party part, and they were not quite as attentive, but our Thoms Tour representative made up for that by always making sure we had a drink in our hand, telling us about Dominican life, and taking tons of pictures of just us privately in the catamaran and in the natural swimming pool. He took pictures during the entire trip that we got to purchase not expensive at all, either! at the very end, too. We even had a little photo shoot in the pool! It was awesome. In the catamaran we basically danced and had drinks and yummy snacks, before going swimming in the natural swimming pool in the ocean with the other catamaran parties around us. There was plenty of music and drinks for everyone the floating bar was very cool, and it was a really fun time to just relax and swim around! After we came back we had a chance to go into one of the shops, but the owner was really pushy and rude, which is common in these kinds of stores, but we have 0 tolerance for it, so we opted out of buying anything. He was also charging a pretty penny for some stuff that was cheaper in our hotel, so be forewarned and check your hotel prices first. Luckily David stayed and helped us escape lol because the owner kept wanting to show and sell us more stuff. They had explained to us in the catamaran that the waves were really bad and choppy that day, so we had to skip out on the actual snorkeling for our safety. We were really upset since that's why we had booked the tour! BUT - David came to our rescue and planned another trip for us on his day off that weekend to bring us snorkeling. We were so grateful that he did that because the snorkeling was AMAZING. He gave us each a piece of bread to feed the fish with, which was so cool because fish of all shapes and colors came up practically to our faces and were swimming right in front of us! And of course we got to see the reef and just explore all around. We saw so many cool things, and it was just a great experience overall! We were really happy with Thoms Tours and how hard they worked to make sure we got to see and experience everything! They were so accommodating and amazing, and we just had the best trip. My advice is to book snorkeling in the beginning of your trip in case the waves are bad that day, and you want to reschedule it! Other than that, we did a LOT of research on snorkeling trips, and this was by far the best one with the best value for the price. I would 100 recommend it!

This was one of the best events we did all week. Lunch was great, the crew fun and well organized. The 3 hour tour time was just enough to see and do without wearing us out. We cruised, snorkeled a bit, cruised, swam with Sharks and Stingrays, cruised and then anchored at a party cove for snacks and drinks from a floating bar. The owner, Sr. Thomas, went out of his way to welcome us and this excursion is a great value for the money.
