Best day of our Honeymoon!

Booked as a shore excursion through Viator whilst on a 3 week cruise. Paid £45 and was outstanding value for money and best day of our holiday. Roatan is a such a beautiful setting and our guide / driver Tommy was the man to see it with. Met at the exit of the cruise port. This located just behind where the mini buses are for cruise booked shore excursions, but feel free to ask someone and they will point you in the right direction. You need to go through a gate to get there. Waited around 20 minutes on other guests before short walk to bus and 20 minute mini-bus to animal exhibit. Held Guinea Pigs, sloths, parrots and monkeys which was a lot of fun. Around 30 minutes here and then short drive to jetty for snorkelling. Nice changing facilities and very well organised. Snorkelling was good fun, lots of marine life and helpful guides. Was a little congested but definitely not the worst if you are confident in the water. About 1 hour here and then time to get dried and changed. Tommy was very friendly and easy going, gave us the option of returning to the shop or going to beach so we also got to visit Las Palmas beach club for an 1.5 hours which was good fun and and had good food and drink. About 30 minute drive back to the ship and plenty time to spare. Really cannot recommend this enough! Thank you Tommy!

Monique was our guide, she took us in a nice clean SUV with 5 of us in total. She was fantastic! She shared so much information with us about the whole island and the area in General. Al’s Sloth and Monkey farm was fantastic! We had a great time. Sloths and monkeys were great! The snorkeling was right near the Sloths and Monkey's and the staff running the snorkeling was fantastic. We saw so many different fish! The gear was well maintained and ready to go when we arrived. We also went to a Local Souvenir place and got to purchase some treats

Travelled with my mom and 12 yr old daughter. Animal experience was really great, loved the sloths! This was the highlight of our cruise excursions. The snorkeling part was disappointing. For all the promotion of Roatan as having the 2nd largest barrier reef, the area we were taken to had mostly all dead coral. While we did see many fish (not much variety though) the backdrop was just so sad - others in our group also were talking about how disappointed they were. My daughter's first snorkeling experience, she spent much of it in tears as she kept getting salt water in her mouth and no amount of effort on my part to help her adjust equipment/technique was helping and no one from the crew came to help. Fortunately we had a much better experience all around with our snorkeling excursion in Costa Maya the next day.

Unique land and sea animal encounters!

The sloths and monkey were great! We appreciated that everyone had an opportunity to hold the sloths. The monkeys jumping on us was hilarious. As an avid snorkeler, there were two unique moments. First, was some LIVE coral that seemingly have taken on features of the lionfish. Seeing live coral lately has been rare. Secondly, were the two MASSIVE lobster, easily 3 feet that were facing off with each other. We got to see several more in another area (but they were tucked away, in part). The negatives were not asking if people wanted guinea pigs on their heads at the sanctuary, and some of the people in the groups, which were not indicative of the tour or the facilities. It did, however, detract from the experience.

Best Day Ever!

This was one of the best days of my life, and Roatan Getaway Tours and our driver, Carlos, were a big part of that. The Monkey and Sloth place was so fun. You get to hold guinea pigs, sloths and a macaw. Then they let you into the capuchin monkey area, where the monkeys jump on your head and shoulders. They are so cute and mischievous. We loved it! 😍 There is a place to wash hands when you are done as well. The snorkeling outfit was located quite nearby. Our group took us on a short ride to the reef, where we got our equipment on and got in the water. One guide snorkeled in front and another brought up the rear to be sure we were safe. He also carried extra masks in case something went wrong with one. It was our first time snorkeling but definitely not our last. We loved it. Again, props to our driver Carlos. We had him all to ourself in his comfortable, clean Ford Explorer. He even offered to come back for us later in the afternoon to take us back to the cruise port when we wanted to spend the afternoon at Brady's Cay, a local private island beach club. 100% recommend this tour and tour group!

Sloths and monkeys were the best!

The driver and ease of finding him were great! The monkeys and sloths were fun as well. The snorkeling was eh. The place we were taken to was not good. The reef was all dead. We only saw a couple of things. If you want something affordable and reliable I would say do it! As long as you dont care about the snorkeling.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. But please always keep in mind to read your activy beforehand to not expect more. This states a inshore snorkeling which you cannot expect abundant reef. To see more reef i recommend doing a drop off or a more focused snorkeling activity. Like you mentioned this is something affordable and reliable and priced as so. Thank you.

Excursion off NCL Joy. Was alot of fun and plenty of personal interaction with the sloths, parrots, and monkeys also the driver was very nice and informative during the drive. The snorkeling was nice it water 4-6.5 feet of water and the guides were very helpful in pointing out facts and also where to see some lobster and other water-based habitants.

Harlan our guide, was incredible I told him my kids wanted to try something fresh coconuts and while we were on our snorkeling part of the excursion he went out of his way to bring some for my kids and surprised us with them. Our group, also wanted to try some local food and on the way back to the cruise terminal he stopped at a beautiful place for us overlooks the water. Harlan was also very informative about everything, was waiting for us as it was a very smooth transition getting to our vehicle and we were one of the first groups to arrive at ajs Monkey and sloth park. The sloths were so awesome and the monkeys were super cool. Definitely worth every penny and Honduras was my oldest son favorite port out of our 3 stops. Highly recommend this tour!

We loved the sloths! Be careful with the guinea pigs, they pee in your hands! My kids were a little uncertain, but the guides were fantastic and helped calm them. 10/10 would go again.
