Walt was very knowledgeable with all the flora and fauna, and the history of the area as we paddled down the river. It was super fun going through the mini rapids. Highly recommend for anyone looking for on tge water fun.

This was so fun! The mini rapids, the cool water and stories about the native community and miners, it was all really great. Would have brought a towel to jump in to the water at the end as it gets hot!

Small rapids were a pleasant surprise and made the trip super fun! Definitely tested my strength and ability to follow instructions :-D River pretty assisted us perfectly with moderate efforts on the fastest rapids, most being easy once you get the hang of navigating your kayak and ore. Instructors Blaine and Nick were funny, sweet, knowledgeable, helpful and very encouraging. They made the experience less scary than I thought it would be as a first time kayaker. I hope they’re there next time I decide to book! The float was just about 3 hours with stops for breaks and for the group to catch up. A lot of fun with beautiful scenery! Arizona never disappoints with the views.

Check in was easy. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The guides were amazing and made sure everyone was safe and having fun. Duke the German Shepherd was a great addition for the trip down the river.

It was a great experience feom beginning to end. The staff was so kind and helpful. My children ages 10 and 6 absolutely loved it. The weather was beautiful and the water was chilly but we had a blast. Our guide Blane did an amazing job! He was a great time. We would absolutely do this again and recommend to others.

We had a fantastic experience with Blaine and Nick! It was a perfect way to explore the area wilderness. Our guides were very knowledgeable and shared local info as we enjoyed the river and some mild rapids that were fun for all ages. The river part took about 2+ hrs so all in it was about 3 hours and that left time to do a great hike in the red rocks in the afternoon.

The tour was fabulous and did not disappoint. We were greeted by Walt at the desk and all of my worries about what to do with car keys, phones, places to change were all put to bed quickly. Everything was taken care of and the trip with Walt and Jason was so interesting and full of laughs and nature and history lessons. The crew that received us on the other end was cheerful and it was obvious they enjoyed the work. A definite must do in the area!

Highly recommended! Our guides were fantastic, even their Dad jokes were funny.This was a perfect combination of adventure and safe fun. The rapids were 1 & 2’s perfect for beginners and old people like us. A very enjoyable day. Dress appropriately, you will get wet from splashes and paddle drips.

Entire experience was great - from booking to the actual tour. The tour group was communicative and friendly. The tour guide was fantastic! So knowledgable about the area and just plain fun! The trip down the river was a perfect balance of quiet water with periodic easy rapids. Great fun, but not too challenging. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a non-touristy experience. You WILL get wet, so be prepared. Changing rooms available at the meeting point to change into dry clothes before going on to your next adventure.

NEVER THOUGHT I COULD DO IT

The most memorable parts of the tour were going through the various rapids, including going through one backwards, which was actually quite fun. My husband and I chose to have a double kayak. He thought it would be easier on me. But the next time, I would have a one person kayak. I believe it would have been easier to maneuver and would require less coordination with the other person. It was a lot of fun once we got the hang of it, but if you are novices like us, 2.5 hours was a bit much--sore arms.
