St. John’s is lovely

The view on the drive through St. John’s was spectacular. The history of Annaberg most interesting and the highlight was a few hours spent relaxing at Trunk Bay with the noodles we brought along. Snorkeling was exciting as we saw fish and a stingray!

The Taxi driver and the tour guide were good, we drove every inch of St John’s but don’t stop at one beach, we drove by quickly as Kenneth pointed them out. Also be aware that your tour doesn’t include the ferry over to and back from St John so book your ticket ahead of time and skip the line.

Feeling cheated

The time with Kenneth was great but we feel cheated that we missed 2 hours of our beach time. He had two different tours scheduled at the same time. We had paid for the 5 hour tour and the other couple a lesser tour with no beach time. Kenneth told us to work it out because if we did t go back on the same ferry, one of us would have to pay for transportation back to the ship( we had arrived at the ferry with tbe same driver) We really had no choice but to compromise with 1 hour on tbe beach rather than the 3 we had paid for and this benefitted the other couple who had paid for no beach time. Poor planning on someone’s part.

Greetings Beverly, We apologize for the misunderstanding. The island tour is not five hours, the entire tour time is five hours. We notify clients this information. It clearly states prior to booking that five hours is the approximate time. Additionally, we email clients Tour duration time starts at the time of driver pick up and is an estimation of the time. This information is given, so clients coming from the cruise ship know the length of time before returning to ship. No where does it say in the tour description three hours of beach time. We also spoke to Kenneth he said you spent closer to two hours on the beach than one hour. Two hours is the normal beach time. I understand it may have been a bit confusing. We are happy you enjoyed your time with Kenneth, and hope you consider adding stars to your review.

Great experience overall. Our driver was amazing and the scenery beautiful. Trunk Bay beach was gorgeous, the sand and the water. Even saw a manta ray up close passing by and touching ppl including my nephew. The water is also quite warm and warming... Enjoy!!! Bless, The Forbes Family

Ho Hum tour

Points given for prompt pickup on St Thomas. Points removed for breakneck driving for more pickups at hotels and other cruise ships in open air "taxi" (really a pickup with rows of seats on the back under a canopy), and NO seatbelts! He did get us to the ferry on time, and that was a fine 20 minute ride. The pickup on St. John was ok,, and that driver wisked us around the hilly & twisting roads in similar breakneck fashion, but he got us to all the advertised attractions. He was courteous but quite nonchalant. - i.e. not overly friendly. We had about 1-1/2 hours in Trunk Bay, plenty of time to rent a mask & snorkel and tool around. Beautiful beach with perfect sand and good snorkeling. Overall, was it worth it? I'm not sure but I'm not sure you have a lot of options if you are on a cruise ship schedule.

worthless trip

Kenneth, our tour guide was not available and transferred us to kadesha who showed us only the beaches and that was the tour, two hours on trunk bay and nothing else. We could have done that ourselves and pay less. I even had to pay my own fare for the ferry. My worse trip..

Great Little Tour

Trunk Bay is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen and this tour made it possible to get there (& back!) with no hassle. Kenneth was informative and passionate and clearly cares about the island. At first I was dismayed that we'd only have fifteen minutes to walk around the Annaberg ruins but that's honestly all you need, especially since it wasn't crowded. Hamblet made sure we got to the ferry with more than enough time and was diligent in picking up the other couple even though they were at a different entrance than expected. Cons -A lot of time was spent talking about the plight of veterans and I think it was a downer to the active soldier. -It's a long, hot tour with no snacks or water. BRING WATER. -I never wanted to leave the beach and wish we had more time there (our ferry was late and we spent a lot of time at photo spots but I think that time would be better spent at the beach)

Great time at Trunk Bay beware of Kenneth taxi!

We had high expectations for this trip based on previous reviews and I must say it was great up until we left Trunk Bay (which we were there for over 3 hrs which was great with still plenty of time to get back to the ship!). What happened next was disgraceful. Our driver was Kenneth. And he is a vial human being. We loaded up in the back seat of the jeepney and sat with my husband and one other gentleman from another group of four. Kenneth asked the three of us to get out so the other gentleman could sit with his partner. The guy was like, are you kidding? We’re all just fine so we piled back in. If he’d wanted to sit with his partner, there was plenty of room next to him 2 seats up. Where he got vial was at Cruz Bay dropping us off. I kindly said to him that what he did made us all very uncomfortable and was totally unnecessary. He then proceeded to argue with us about why he did what he did. “To seat couples together.” I tried to explain that WE WERE a couple, sitting together and he kept arguing, swearing and being extremely unprofessional. He single handedly ruined our day. Beware if you get Kenneth of Kenneths taxi on St Johns. He should be fired and never used to do this tour again!!

It was a very nice Tour. Driver and the guide Kenneth was wonderful. We started our journey from Cruz Bay and then moving inside the Islands. There are wonderful beaches like Cinnamon, Trunk, Great Cruz etc. Also charmed by the historic Annaberg plantations. I recommend this tour very much.

We had such an amazing time touring St. John! Our tour guide, Charlie, was incredibly knowledgeable about his island! We learned so many neat details about plants/foliage, history, customs and traditions, and so much more while on our tour. Stops in more touristy areas were well balanced with stops at more green spaces around the island. We took our lunch at Trunk Bay and had plenty of time for the beach. We also got to stop at some shops to purchase souvenirs and snacks before boarding the ferry back to St. Thomas. Highly recommend this tour!

I wasn't picked up at my hotel...

I wasn't picked up at my hotel, because of possible narrow streets. The driver was a bit late and then I had to wait some more for some other passengers, because their cruiseship was late coming to port. When we finally got moving again, we missed the first ferry to St John and had to wait for the next one. We were taken directly to Trunk Bay beach and not taken to any sights at all. Short beach time, because the others had to be back on ship at a certain time. Drivers to and from St Thomas / St John were very friendly.
