Tour Teide - small group

We had a great time on this trip. Our guide Ozzi was speaking English and German fluently and told us about some history and sights. We stopped at several locations where he left us enough time to visit (1 hr at the Teide). Ozzi was patiently answering our questions and was quite funny. We would recommend this trip.

Really accommodating and friendly guide, despite the weather stopping the view it was a great experience in a beautiful national park it disnt feel rushed and plenty of photo opportunities

Guide was knowledgeable but not worth the price

We drove to the meeting point and the guide was ten minutes late. It was the small group so just 8 and the van was new and clean but cramped. The guide in general was very informative and friendly. At the main stop where the cafeteria is we had just an hour which is not really long enough. The guide was also again 10 minutes late as we all waited outside. He was inside chatting with colleagues. The food at the cafeteria was not overpriced and not good so I would skip that. The description said the tour would be 4-5 hours but it was 3.5 including the pick up and drop off drive. Lastly, I would recommend that there is one or two pick up/drop off points instead of hotels. It made the journey boring at the start and end as we would need to go through everyone’s location as we were the last one. Lastly the guide didn’t drop us off where he picked us up so we had to walk 10 minutes to the location. Overall we spent more time in the van than outside. Would be nice to have more stops and longer stops.

We had a nice trip and saw lots. We had Pablo leading our tour who was nice but wasn’t as informative as we were hoping and based on other reviews we have seen, was less talkative than Ozzy. We still had a nice time though

This tour is a definite must do when visiting Mount Teide! Our tour guide Ozzy was very informative, providing insights into Tenerife and Mount Teide’s history, stopping at opportune times across the mountain landscape to explain certain rock formations as well as the flora and fauna found in the national park. The small size of the tour also allowed Ozzy to stop at areas otherwise inaccessible to large tour buses, giving our group a chance to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Mount Teide. Ozzy’s in-depth explanations of the mountain were very interesting and left us with an enlightened understanding of Mount Teide. Ozzy was an excellent guide and this tour is a definite must-do to experience Mount Teide and its natural wonders!

Long tour with different then in description route that started an hour later then expected

By booking this tour I expected 4 hours tour with more than 5 interesting places in a minivan with picking up from the hotel, as it is written in the description. After paying and getting confirmation I received a phone call that the tour will be extended to see the stars. In fact, It occurred that instead of a minivan we got a big bus that came an hour later than expected and we had to search a pickup point by ourselves. Next, instead of the route from the description the bus went to a restaurant (unwanted stop) where we wasted an hour then it came to only one exciting place - Mirador de Los Poleos, a wonderful place where we enjoyed the sunset and after that we had to feel cold for 2 hours near Teide (the bus has dissapeared somewhere) in the darkness (nobody warned us that there would be pretty cold) watching moon, Saturn and some other objects in telescopes. Our guide, Ozzie, was very good, knowledgable and with good sense of humor, and it softened total impression, but for such value and long time duration I expected to see exactly what was in the description of this tour, and it just did not happen.

Hi, Thank you for joining us and for your feedback. It seems that you have confused things here and you are not exactly aware of what you've booked. First of all we have you there option and we even spoke to you on the phone explaining the excursion which was available. You agreed as the day tour with the minivan was sold out and not available. You choose the startgazing experience. We have explained all details about the tour. We send messages by WhatsApp informing people about all important parts of the tour including what people should bring and how to prepare. When reading your feedback or send that you didn't understand the message or perhaps you didn't even read it. Pickup was not an hour late. It was mentioned also by WhatsApp and we confirmed the exact pickup time for you. Also the exact location including Google maps has been shared. It's a shame you seem not to understand the message nor the information we've sent you. Also you've reviewed the wrong tour here and this is also not usual. We suggest if there is something you didn't understand, please ask and this is the best way to avoid any confusion in the future. Thank you very much

Excellent trip with a very knowledgable guide. Able to get to places where you can’t on a large coach. Trip was on time and extremely enjoyable. Took us to some amazing view sights and was a perfect length when you don’t want a whole day trip. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do a trip up teide.

Worth the money

Hotel pickup was perfect. The fact that it was 8 people maximum meant that we only spent a short time picking people up. Van very comfortable. The guide was very friendly and full of facts. This tour was great as it takes you to see landscapes you wouldn't expect if you stayed in your beach resorts.

This tour was very exceptional, with the vineyard stop before going all the way up had some great wines and food. Then once up top for the star gazing it was great to see all the shooting stars, Saturn and Jupiter. And learn a few things also. But when they say take warm clothing do so as it gets very cold up there.
