Trier was beautiful! And Peter was the best guide ever! He told us so much about the city that we never would have known had we toured ourselves. Had dinner at Ratskeller - also fabulous! Great great day!

This was a lovely experience for my husband and me to get to know Trier and its history. The guide Peter (or rather his wife, on his behalf) messaged us ahead of time to find out if we were staying at a hotel in the area (so Peter met us in our hotel lobby for our tour to make things easier). They also recommended a couple of restaurants ahead of time, and I’m glad we listened to their recommendation and made reservations there — it was top notch. Peter himself is a lovely gentleman who clearly loves history and has been doing these tours for a long time. He is friendly and nice, and adjusts the tour to each individual group as needed. We were fast walkers and clearly enjoyed learning all the history he had to share — so we spent some extra time together to see more stuff. I also really enjoyed some of the smaller, more off-the-beaten path things he pointed out — such as the inconspicuous memorials to the town’s Jewish population lost during WWII.

We had Peter as a guide for few hours who is very knowledgeable and had prepared for the session. He took time to explain the history and helped link up the events which made it interesting for kids and us too. Would recommend the quick history session for time well spent.

I could not recommend this tour more if you are in the Trier area. Not only does Peter have extensive knowledge of the history of Trier but he will go above and beyond, taking you to places and showing you things that even other tour guides may not know about. It was a mix of everything with Roman, Medieval, and Baroque history. Everything was great and went better than I expected! Again I could not recommend him more and will definitely consider coming back! Thank you again Drs.Nollen!!

We arrived in Trier on a Friday afternoon. Having faced a busy travel schedule, I had not been able to previously book a tour for the following day. I was pleasantly surprised at Peter’s immediate response and his flexibility regarding a meeting point, as we were not very familiar with Trier. He arrived 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time, giving us the opportunity to discuss our main interests rather than feeling rushed to begin the tour. Peter was warm and friendly. My children and I felt immediately at ease. He is very knowledgeable about Trier and did a great job tailoring the tour to our interests. He brought additional material with him (pictures, photos and brochures) and showed it to us at the different sites. This helped us to better understand the history and brought it very much to life. My children and I thoroughly enjoyed the additional tidbits of information he shared with us during our walk. I am also very grateful that he pointed out other points of interest that were not part of our tour, such as the Stadtbibliothek Trier, a real treasure. It was a great tour overall and I highly recommend Peter. His engaging style and warm personality, coupled with his extensive knowledge about Trier was a memorable experience for us and one that we will fondly remember.

Besser, interessanter und fachkundiger kann man nicht geführt werden. Peter war ein toller Guide, der uns immer wieder mit spannenden Geschichten Trier näher gebracht hat und dabei auch noch die Tour länger gestaltet hat. Danke!!!
