Amazing guide and views

This was such an amazing experience. Our guide G.D was fun, helpful, and knowledgeable of the history in the area. We chatted about volcanic activity in Bali as well as in Indonesia. He played some jams as we walked down. The view was stunning. It’s definitely a trek, but so worth it.

The trip was incredible. Such a wonderful experience. Our driver was great - gave us lots of tips and info before we started. Madi our guide was exceptional! He looked after us so well the whole time; always making sure we were ok, showing us tricky parts to watch out for and guiding us safely to the top and back down. The breakfast at the top was delightful! Cannot recommend this experience enough.

What an amazing experience, my driver Gede picked me up exactly as scheduled. He was very thoughtful and joyful to be around. Sharing laughs from the moment he arrived. The trekk up Mount Batur was beautiful, accompanied by a knowledgement guide giving rest breaks when needed. The guide took many pictures for me at summit and shared knowledgeable information about the area. I would highly recommend booking this, a memory never to be forgotten.

Our hike up Mt Batur was a very memorable experience and will probably be one of the highlights from our stay in Ubud. Adi was a fantastic driver, he made our commutes enjoyable and he really has attention to detail for customer service. Jerry helped us along our climb to the top of Mt Batur. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel safe and secure the whole time. Would definitely recommend this excursion if you are in Bali, it’s worth the early morning!

It was a ince in a time experience. Adi, our driver pickrd us up on time, very good driver. Madi our guide to the top was very talkative, he shared many stories and talked a lot about the volcano. I highly recommend them for the future. We got breakfast at the top (banana sandwich, boiled egg, chocolate and fruits) and also hot drinks. Madi made manyi photos of us ehich is good for memories! On the way back we stopped at a coffee plantation to taste coffes and teas. Se tried the famous Luwak coffee as well (ofc extra charge). In summary, I highly recommend this tour with Madi and Adi!

Unbelievable views

Our driver Adi was excellent, respectful (especially considering the 1:30am start), and had great English. This walk is definitely worth it and the sunrise is amazing. You can see surrounding islands, sea and mountains glowing as the sun comes up and it is a great place to see stars. Make sure to bring a warm jacket as you’ll be sitting down and the top of the mountain is cold. It’s a 2 hour vertical climb and it’s easier than we expected (but definitely a work out). Don’t plan anything for the rest of the day - except maybe a massage. Also good idea to bring snacks.

Solid experience but be warned

The hike up to Mt. Batur for sunrise was like nothing we had experienced before! Flashlight in hand, the hike was slightly challenging due to the sand/rocky terrain but totally worth it. Our local guide kept good company. Unfortunately, we had a frustrating start to the experience. We communicated with the company prior to confirm our pickup time and location (2:30 AM in Ubud). As 2:45 AM rolled around, we continued to call and text the company for an update. We had seen a prior (negative) review that this happened to someone else, without ever showing. The company eventually called a Gojek car that brought us to the start. It was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional start to the early morning. Overall, glad we did it and happy with our local guide. Just fair warning to over communicate pickup logistics and be prepared to call the company if a car doesn't show.

Had such a nice trek with Siska this morning! It was cold and I was kind of miserable at the top until the sun cleared out the fog. She helped me keep the spirits up, and celebrated with me once it was complete! Amazing guide, thank you for sharing Mt. Batur 🙏🏼✨️ Need better communication on not picking up from Amed town. Would have loved for other trekking groups to talk less, lol, but can't change that really.

We hiked up Mount Batur with our tour guide, Jerry. It was a remarkable experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone that likes challenging sports. It's truly a one in a life-time experience.

We loved this excursion and are so happy we decided to make it part of our trip. We are honeymooning and felt like this was a good change from the resort life. Watching the sunrise together is also pretty romantic. There are plenty of other people on the hike doing the same thing but it didn't feel crowded. There are also easier ways to the top (dirt bike or jeep) if you're not interested in the hike. The hike itself is steep and a little slippery so good shoes are needed. I wore traditional running shoes and was wishing I brought something better. The hike is ~2 miles (3.4 kilometers) to the top. We did it in about 1.5 hours. This inculded a couple of short breaks. The hike itself doesn't feel cold because you are working hard. They provided head lamps and walking poles which was nice and necessary. It's helpful to have a change of clothes or at least a change of shirt for when you get to the top. The top is cold when you stop moving. Bring layers! We got picked up at 2:30am. Left for the hike around 3:45am after arriving at our starting point. We got it to the top around 5:15 and had plenty of time to wait for the sunrise. We were at the bottom by 8:30. We headed to the hot springs after for an hour and a half and then to a coffee plantation on the way back. We were back to our hotel by 11:45.
