What began as a beautiful day in UBud, Bali unfolded into a wonderful, mystical and magical adventure all because of our tour guide Raka.
Raka was our local tour guide and he is a native Balinese person with great local knowledge. His English was superb and his personality was electric and helpful. A people person, he was super tight and friendly with everyone at all the stops throughout our tour. He always gave us space to enjoy the sites together but also gave us the insight and knowledge we needed to fully immerse in this terrific place.
Raka began the day by picking up my girlfriend and I at our hotel in UBud. We began by checking out the famous UBud Monkey forest. Next stop was the gold and silver jewelry factory. Afterwards we checked out a Luwak coffee making center for insight into the production of coffee and a tasting of the various teas and coffee the locals partake in. From there we went to a wood carving center and after stopped for a amazing lunch amongst some rice fields. Post lunch we visited an awe inspiring temple and ended with a bang by visiting the majestic and famous UBud rice field terrace.
With Raka as our guide we ended up with memories of a lifetime in this enchanting place called UBud - Bali.

This was an unforgettable day, truly the highlight of our trip to Bali. Our tour guide Sudi was happy to tailor the trip for us, and answers all of our many questions. We went off the beaten path, into beautiful areas in the countryside. He even suggested he take photos of us in the places we visited. Sudi, if you are reading this, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Our driver Rudi was a fantastic host. He looked after us well, provided water and a superb commentary on the sights we visited and on life in Bali generally.
He is a careful driver and the car was spotlessly clean and air conditioned.
The monkey forest was full of life and monkeys happy in their natural habitat. It is essential to observe the park rules for the safety of all including the animals.
The waterfall has 165 deep steps which are challenging in the heat but worth the walk.
The tirta empul temple was a privilege to visit and sarongs are provided and must be worn.
The rice fields were stunning and a great photo opportunity. Instagram photo opportunities too if that’s your thing.
The cekul village is interesting but make sure to do your rearch on prices and decent stores rather than risk scammers and fake goods. Some decent reviews on Tripadvisor.
Overall a good day out and value for money, approx 6 hours door to door.

We had a wonderful day seeing some of the sights in around Ubud.
Our driver/guide Tegeg, was prompt for pick up and was excellent throughout the day. Very knowledgeable and able to answer and questions that we asked, of which there were many! He was flexible with the itinerary, and made a couple of unscheduled stops that we requested.
I would definitely book again, and highly recommend.
