Vi hade en underbar turné med Joel! Honungsprovningen var fantastisk, och vi älskade särskilt de färska tortillorna och salsan. Det var väldigt intressant att vandra genom naturen och lära sig allt om olika typer av bin.

Detta är verkligen en dold pärla. Vackert läge, med en informativ rundtur, lunch ingår i honungsprovningen och lite godis från guiden. Verkligen unik upplevelse som också hjälper till med bevarande av ekosystem samtidigt som du lär dig om historia och nuvarande odlingsmetoder.

Vi åkte på dagens första rundtur vid 8 . 30 a. m. när temperaturen fortfarande var bra. Guiden var mycket kunnig och hela stället välorganiserat. För att tillägga att vi båda är biologer och väldigt intresserade av inhemska bin och naturen i stort. Gl-guiden använde surfplatta med stor visualiseringshjälp. Som avslutning blev det en kort provsmakning av några typer av honung. Efter rundturen som varade i ungefär en timme åt vi en utsökt frukost på en restaurang på samma fastighet som var en del av vårt paket. Vi är mycket nöjda med besöket och kan varmt rekommendera Xkopek park till besökare i Valladolid.

Vi älskade vår upplevelse här! Det var fascinerande att lära sig mer om de naturliga bipopulationerna och medan vi var i cenoten och såg bikuporna hade vår guide en iPad med videor och instruktionsvideor. Smakningen var också fantastisk!

Vackert läge, fantastiska bin, kunnig och vänlig guide. Det var fascinerande att lära sig om hur Xkopek arbetar för att skydda de hotade Yucatan-bina och bevara Majan-kulturen. Vi njöt också av honungsprovningen och köpte några av deras läckra produkter. Trevlig lunch också i vackra omgivningar.

Wonderful experience and package! Our tour guide was very informative and nice. We would highly recommend this tour. We learned a lot about the Mayan Bees and had a lovely lunch. We bought the moisturizing cream which we are in love with.

Very informative tour. You get to know the habits of local bees, compare them with European bees and taste their products (honey, propolis and others). We had a quick snack with some homemade tortillas and a filling lunch in the restaurant of the area. The quality of the food is not exceptional, but it's definitely worth the price of the whole tour. It's nice to support local businesses like this one.

Interesting off the beaten path experience in Valladolid

This is a unique tour, for those looking for something off the beaten path! It is a bee farm, and also a natural park. You will visit a dry cenote, where there are natural hives of several different species of Mayan bees. And then you will visit their own "farm" at the back, where you can get up to the hives and the bees up close. Scared of bees? Don't be - the Mayan bees are stingless, and tiny. So there is nothing to be afraid. Caveat - there are (invasive) wild European bees in the Yucatan peninsula, and of course in the immediate area of the bee farm too. There are some in the dry cenote you will visit. So you might get stung. But you might also get stung in other parts of Valladolid, Yucatan, etc. The guide is enthusiastic and good at explaining. His English is good enough for the tour that all the information is conveyed. There is also a honey tasting part of the tour - to try the Mayan bee honey and pollen and other products. As well as a small snack of freshly made tacos. And also a lunch included with this tour, in the restaurant attached to the hotel that is on the same site. We didn't have time to eat the lunch, so can't comment on it. Parking is free, and there is a gift shop on-site. The one thing I have to mention is that there are many, many mosquitos here. Try to wear long pants and sleeves, and bring very good mosquito repellent. It is, after all, situated in a wild area (even though it is just 5 mins drive from downtown Valladolid) for the bees to go and pollinate and gather honey. Overall, definitely worth a visit, to do something different than just the ancient ruins and wet cenotes!

Pristine Environment for Native Bees

Very informative guide. He spoke good English and was friendly. It was great to visit a place that was dedicated to helping our environment. In addition to the bees we saw a Motmot, one of my favorite birds! We loved the honey tasting but breakfast was not included which puzzled me because the ticket said breakfast or lunch was included. Just the same, we were not disappointed.

We loved this experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We learned about the different kinds of native bees and observed several different hives. We sampled 9 different bee products and then enjoyed a delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this to all visitors to Valladolid!

Le déjeuner inclus est délicieux, et peut être pris avant ou après la visite, selon l’heure que vous aurez choisi. Prix imbattable pour la qualité de la prestation, nous recommandons vivement ! Excelentísima la atención del guía, aprendimos muhciisisisisismo de muchas cosas que no conociamos de las abejas en genral, de la flora y fauna de la región de la cultura maya, de biologia y de todo práctimcamente. Las instalaciones estan súper bien cuidadas, y la ubicación muy fácil de seguir en el GPS. La comida delicios, 100000% recomendable, recibimos más de lo que nos costó
