Intressant sovjetisk historieturné

Fantastisk tur med reseledare Vilius! Han var mycket kunnig och kunde dela berättelser om sin familjs upplevelser genom den sovjetiska ockupationen av Vilnius vilket gjorde att turnén kändes mer personlig.

Saranus var en helt fantastisk guide. Han delade med sig av många intressanta berättelser och anekdoter som väckte liv till den sovjetperiod som Litauens folk uthärdade. Hans stora kunskap om perioden gjorde att han kunde svara på våra frågor med genuin auktoritet. Om du är intresserad av 1900-talets historia så ge absolut din tid till denna turné. Första klass! Tack.

Taddas gjorde ett bra jobb med att förklara livet som han upplevde under sovjetiskt styre och visade oss många intressanta byggnader och foton av upplevelsen. Jag skulle starkt rekommendera det för att få ett perspektiv

This was a great tour from the guide (Tadas) who personally lived through the experience. He was very personable, knowledgeable and fun to be with, showing us important locations, telling us stories and generally making the day fun!

Tardas gives a personalised overview of life under soviet control of Lithuania. The architectural examples reflect soviet ideology. A great contrast to the historical centre of Vilnius. His storytelling combines both moving accounts and humour . It’s both a public historical account as well as imbuedcwith personal experiences under SSR.?Well worth the yeo hours plus. note: lots of walking😀

During this tour, we traversed several centuries of Lithuanian history and took a deep dive on the major historical moments of 20th century Vilnius. Our guide, Sarunas, provided detailed, interesting insights and perspectives about his city. He was also very responsive to spending more time on the topics we had questions about. We would highly recommend this tour!

This is probably the best guide I’ve ever met. Ieva made the past of Lithuania come alive with her personal stories combined with the historical overview, and the knowledge from the tour made my whole stay in Vilnius amazing. Highly, highly recommended.

We had a really great time learning about the Soviet past of Vilnius and its impact/role in Lithuanian society. Our guide, Tadas, did an amazing job walking us through the key sites if the city, while also providing us with interesting stories and anecdotes from his past in the Soviet Union! Highly recomended

Really interesting tour, packed full of history and interesting sites. Really enthusiastic guide, despite there being only two of us. Nice to have a coffee stop mid-tour (it was very cold) and great pub recommendations for craft beer afterwards!

This was a tour given by a young lady who is deeply interested in the subject, but not that interested in telling us about it. Consequently lip-service was given to 'answering questions', but the tour was shaped such that there was seldom opportunity. The guide seemed to want to be somewhere else. She asked - in the latter stages of the tour - if we would like to finish early 'in view of the weather.' (the weather was fine). We refused her, which turned out to be wise, as the final part of the tour was crucial. If you are, like me, interested in the history of communism then you may want to 'pass' on this tour, for fear that you will find it a little discouraging.

We are a couple interested in Soviet history and for us this was a given on our Vilnius itinerary. Our guide Sharonas was amazing, he had studied history and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The tour was thorough and Sharonaas guided to different places and monuments we wouldn't have found on our own. It was also interesting to hear how much suffering Communism inflicted upon the Lithuanians - especially coming from a country where we don't discuss Communism's grim side enough. Highly recommended if you're going to Vilnius!

Lukas was an outstanding guide who knew the history of Soviet Vilnius very well. His tour was well paced and expertly organized. If you want to know about this part of the history of Vilnius, and you should, I highly recommend this intelligent young man.

Our guide, Ieva, was an expert in her field, very knowledgeable, and with a great command of English. She added personal experiences of her family as well as pictures of the troubled times prior to 1991. Highly recommended if your are interested in learning about life under Soviet rule and Lithuania's struggle for independence.

Good Tour

Our guide covered alot of ground. We saw many monuments and buildings. The guide had grown up in the Soviet area so recounted some of his experiences. It was also a good way to see some parts of the city you might otherwise miss. I highly recommend the tour.

It was an amazing tour... The guide was at a high knowledge level and was able to give to every question a clear answer. Further the guide provided us with pictures about the sights of former times on an Ipad which was also very good to get an imagination about how it was in former times. The walk by feet was not to far and absolutly able to walk. I got more impressions on that tour than I have suggested. Definitvly I recommend you this tour!!!
