Narrator was wonderful. They were able to get me on board easily even though I use a walker. Only problem, there were people on board who had no interest in the tour and talked loudly during the entire trip and I had a hard time hearing the narrator. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip otherwise. Boat was very clean and comfortable.

Wondering if you were on our Eagles Island Cruise North passing the Wilmington Historic District to the Northend with Marinas and outdoor amphitheatre, then onto the main branch of the Cape Fear with up close views of the USS Battleship North Carolina and Eagles Island nature area or was it our Eagles Island South to the State Ports which passes under the iconic Memorial Bridge, passing tug boats, dredge boats, and other working boats on the river? We are always considering new cruises and improvments for our custmers. Best regards.

A Little Disappointed

We wanted to see more narrated history of the local area. We were particularly interested in the USS NC and civil war landmarks along the River. While the port was interesting to a degree, there was very little else in that direction of the river. The staff was incredibly professional and friendly and the boat was clean and comfortable.

The staff was very helpful and friendly to everyone who took the tour. Job well done The narrator was very knowledgeable and informative in describing the area of battleship to the green lsland of grass and turning brown. The ship of 6M and the dept of the ship.

Boring boat ride

Nothing to really see during the ride besides other boats and large cranes. I guess you get what you pay for seeing that it was only $21 per person

Maybe you would have enjoyed our Eagles Island North, which highlights the downtown riverfront and the conservation nature area of Eagles Island...With you seeing "boats" including tugs, sailing vessels, container ships, fishing boats, and whatever ships were off loading/on loading at the State Ports as well as the cranes they use in operation of on/off loading, that is what there is to see on our Eagles Island Cruise South. A Maritime History Cruise to the State Ports. On any given day you will also view many species of birds, dolphin etc. as well as our Captain and crew narrating to include the history, ecology, & local happenings of the area. All of this while enjoying comfortable seating on our covered 49 passenger vessel that includes a full service bar with water, soft drinks, frozen smoothies, beer, wine, mixed & specialty drinks. A large clean bathroom that is wheelchair accessible. Glad you understand our value :) Best, Diane

Great sunset

I loved the view of the sunset you get when going on their late cruise ride absolutely beautiful. Only downer is if you’re scared of spiders like me there are some spiders that come out at night from the roof the boat. Otherwise very calm and peaceful ride.

Boat captain was very knowledgeable about the Cape Fear River and history. Kept it interesting and had a very good sense of humor. Boat was comfortable and a relief from the heat and humidity of the day.

Kevin, Thanks for jumping onboard one of our daily Eagles Island Cruises. We know how to Kool you down on a hot day! Our bost boat is fully enclosed with windows up to catch the river breezes, our Captain and Crew are knowledgable and Fun and the bar offers many libations including frozen beverages non alcholic and high octane! Ahhhh. Sit back, Relax, and enjoy your cruise!

We welcome everyones opinion. "up river" We cruise the vibrant downtown Wilmington Water Front along the 2 mile long riverwalk voted the Best Riverwalk in USA, passing the Historic District, Downtown Markets, State of the Art Pier 33 Marinia along with other marinas where you'll see boats, boats and more boats, the newly acclaimed Live Oak Bank/Live Nation outdoor music venue, then you cross the Northeast Cape Fear River passing Battleship NC, the most highly decorated ship in WWll and NC # 1 attraction, your tour continues on the Cape Fear to the nature piece of the river where you'll learn about the pre civil war rice plantations that are now home to over 100 different species of birds throught the year. On any given day you'll see fisherman working their crab traps or catching fish on the line, alligators, dolphins and much more. We do understand this isn't a cruise for everyone. If you don't want to enjoy the views there is always the bar with icey cold drinks served by friendly bartenders.
