I looked at prior bookings/reviews for this experience saw the glowing reviews and was excited to share this experience with my friends. We originally booked the jeep tour but then had to be switched to a UTV tour because one of the Jeep vehicles was broken which was ok with us. The tour started out pretty standard but as the tour went on, the more we realized that the facts that Dave provided about the area were inaccurate and he had very little information on the nature and geology of the area as well. The entire time we were unsure of the accuracy of the information. He also added multiple political and racially inappropriate comments throughout the tour which was very uncomfortable at times. I will say that the drive was very pretty and the views were great which is pretty standard in the Zion area.

We like to take reviews such as yours and use them to further educate future guests. Information provided on our tours is “proposed” just like nobody knows what the center of the earth is, the creation of this earth is also unknown. Therefore, we do our best to take a collage of countless expert information (backed by many geologists who we have taken on tour) and provide guests with our best guess based off of all the information at our fingertips…and this is what was provided to you. Here’s the deal, I know the outdoors better than most people can read a book. To say I provided your group inaccurate information is a downright lie on your part.
Tour guides feed off their guests and there is only so much a tour guide can do if guests seem uninterested. On this afternoon UTV Tour, your group of 11 women asked me if I could shorten up the tour as ya’all were more interested in heading back to town to get “a drink” than listening to me talk at our amazing stops; so, with that in mind, what would you all have learned if you all weren’t listening?
As far as the political and racially inappropriate comment statement; Zion Country Off-Road Tours is a PROUD RED BLOODED AMERICAN TOUR COMPANY and we state that front and center on our website! When traveling to Utah you should be prepared to be surrounded by certain values and opinions that are different than the big cities people may travel from. As far as racial - - as a tour company we would never sit and speak ill of any race as we take people from all over the World and from every nationality out on tour and do so with the utmost respect every time. By selecting those two words “Political” and “Racial” you are simply grabbing the attention of others in this already volatile time in our Nation - - shame on you!! Every one of you were Blue minded people. Therefore, anything said that you don’t agree with would be “Political” or “Racial” - - we don’t cater to the WOKE crowd and had I known you were such I would’ve asked you to take your business elsewhere.

Family of (4) took the tour and had our own jeep which is nice, but not necessary, just happened that way. Our guide, Nicole, was awesome. Extremely knowledgeable of the area both historically and geologically. We had a blast and would totally recommend it.

Murphy was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. The tour showed little variety unfortunately, mostly rode around on the top of a Mesa. Not much wildlife to see, but Murphy’s conversation carried the trip.

May 17th excursion:
This experience was incredible. The only thing bumpy about the adventure was the awesome outback feat of traversing boulders. This is the way to see even more of Zion. Our tour leader and driver, Murphy, was exceptional. His vast knowledge of flora and fauna and pesky tourists was enlightening and entertaining. We thoroughly recommend this excursion.
It is more than worth it!

My husband and I took the "Zion Jeep Tour Premium Package - Afternoon Tour" on Wednesday 18th May, 2022 and we were extremely disappointed. THIS TOUR DOES NOT GO INTO ZION NATIONAL PARK OR PROVIDE VIEWS SIMILAR TO THAT IN THE PARK. Instead we rode in the jeep on top of Gooseberry Mesa to a point that had nice views but not ones that were similar to that of Zion National Park.
Nicole was a fantastic tour guide and did her job extremely well. She was knowledgeable about the plants in the area and was very engaging. She obviously cares about providing an enjoyable afternoon to her guests, the saving grace for us on this tour and the reason we are giving more than just one star. If you want to go on an off-road tour that drives on top of a mesa and learn about nature in that area then this is the tour for you. However, we did not understand from the tour overview this is what we would be doing (and the other couple on our tour expressed surprise when we were told we weren't going into the park too). We would rather have spent the day seeing Zion National Park on our own and in retrospect wish we had left once we learned we couldn't go into the park on the tour (which Nicole did tell us once we were in the jeep). We aren't familiar with the area and believed from the tour overview/name that even if we couldn't go into the actual park we would be able to "discover the rugged landscapes of Utah's Zion National Park" from outside of it.
We were disappointed enough to complain to Viator and request a refund for this tour and were denied since you can now find a line stating that tours are not allowed in Zion National Park in the "additional info" and "what to expect" sections. We accept this, however, we still believe the overview and tour name are misleading and strongly imply there will be Zion National Park views and want to make sure that no one else makes the mistakes that we made.

Olivia, we at Zion Country Off-Road Tours do everything in our power to be up front with our guests about the fact that no off-road tour company goes inside Zion National Park, but the one thing we cannot do is make someone actually read the information presented to them. Because you did not read the information provided you did yourself a disservice and therefore are actually disappointed in yourself, not us...but because you won't adult up and take that responsibility you had the nerve to ask Viator for a refund and of course they denied that absurd request because they show the language that's been in our listing all along about our tour which, once again, lets the public know that Zion National Park doesn't allow off-road tour companies in its boundaries. Then you want to write a poor review due to your failure to read a basic tour description to try to make us look bad. Shame on you for your actions!

Murphy was awesome ! My family and I had a blast. All the views are spectacular . We learned a lot about the area animals and vegetation. The main thing we learned was to LOVE those bumps in the road ! Thanks again Murphy!
