What To Expect

Meet a driver at your hotel in Antalya, Lara, Kundu, or Konyaalti for a morning departure, then travel to Beydaglari Coastal National Park.

Upon arrival in the park, you’ll drive to the base of the Tahtali Mountain Cable Car, surrounded by the thick pine forests of the national park. Board the cable car, which stretches 14,271 feet (4,350 meters) to the top of Tahtali Mountain, placing it among the longest aerial tramways in Europe.

During the roughly 15-minute trip to the summit, you’ll look straight down on the trees and gullies of the coastal mountain range. Step out of the gondola onto an observation deck with spectacular views, stretching from Antalya to Demre, Kemer, and a long swatch of Mediterranean Sea. In ancient times, Tahtali Mountain was called “Olympus,” the home of the gods, and the ruined city of Phaselis sits at the mountain’s base.

You’ll have time to purchase drinks from the onsite café, enjoy the high-altitude Turkish sun, or shop for souvenirs at the mountain gift shop. At the end of your time on Tahtali Mountain, make the return trip to the base by cable car. This excursion concludes with transfer back to your original departure point.

I have payed to see what in picture show us but there in the top it was fog all around, so we can not see anything. They know there was fog and they supposed not to do the tour because we pay for nothing but the tour agy. want just to take money from tourist. I have payed about 49 £ for nothing and 3 hours in the van with the transportation . There is no chance for return payment from both tour agy. and Viator, you have to choice carefully.

Aside from a cramped, no air-conditioned bus on the 2 hour journey there and 2 hours back to the hotel, this is a good experience. The views are amazing at the top of the mountain...even better from the roof terrace. It was a shame though that our guide who spoke VERY little English was still able to INSIST that a monetary 'donation' be made for the driver...so just be aware of that.
