This was an amazing excursion! We loved riding through the villages and enjoyed the brights smiles of the locals! We really enjoyed our guide Diego! He was warm, friendly and a delight! The ATV ride was fun and adventurous! We enjoyed seeing hardened lava, sand dunes and wind mills! Diego was informative, professional and helpful! One of our favorite memories from our visit to Guatemala! Would definitely recommend!

Everyone was extremely nice and hopeful. We really enjoyed riding ATVs up Pacaya Volcano and witnessing all of Guatemalas rich,authentic history. Everyone we encountered along the way was amazing.

This tour just doesn't get you the experience you'd want for the volcano. You ride around on an atv for a few hours which is fun but not really to see anything worth while. Also the tour guide didn't seem to know much. The hour+ van ride each way was spent in silence. He provided very limited commentary on the tour stops. Overall, this tour is fun if you want to ride an atv but otherwise just isn't a good way to see the volcano

Guide was awesome. Informative, friendly, great instructor, and very helpful with beginners and experienced drivers. We always felt safe yet challenged. The route allows us to see so much of the countryside and places only off road vehicles can travel. We highly recommend this tour- must do in Antigua.

Oscar, our guide, was very informative. He provided lots of background information about the volcano, the towns, Guatemala, etc. He also was concerned about our safety and stopped at various places on the trip to give special instructions on how to safely proceed, whether it was up a rocky hill or down a steep slope. He was the best.

We used Simoon Rentals & Tours and the guide Lester was incredible! We met at the main office in Antigua and were driven to another city (about an hour and a half drive) to get our ATVs. We got to ride around the town and the Pacaya volcano, and the view were breathtaking! We made some stops along the way, all very picturesque. We recommend eating breakfast before going on the tour because we stopped for lunch around noon (they provided sandwiches, water and snacks). We highly recommend this tour, it was amazing!

This tour was great & our guide, Oscar, was really amazing! We saw the volcano from several vantage points & it was truly remarkable. Riding on the ATVs was also a blast & our guide helped us every step of the way. I would definitely recommend!

Really good! Definitely have to be comfortable on ATVs for this tour! Only negative is that we had to wait 45 minutes sitting around with no where to go at the end because they had to clean the ATVs before driving us back.

Exciting, Exhilarating, and (Sometimes) Scary

The ATV experience was well organized and managed. The trip was really memorable… the sights, the rude, the interaction with the guide, and eating lunch at the volcano. It was an all-day trip and I was tired by the end of it. Fantastic views. A word of warning… some of the paths are very rough and very, very bumpy. On several occasions the guide had to drive the ATV over some rough spots for one of the participants because it was too rough for the driver. Overall, a worthwhile and exciting experience.

Diego is an excellent guide. He knew rhe history and facts about the region and volcanoes 🌋. Great mix of Street and trail riding. The views where great and the Lava oven is a great touch!

The experience was a five star experience! It was amazing to see the towns and the volcano off an ATV. I would say that it would be incredibly helpful to have ATV experience before this, as this is several hours on the ATV and the roads are very bumpy. The team is amazing though and will help you with anything and take amazing photos of you. The views were unmatched. Be sure to bring a rain jacket as it can start raining in Guatemala very suddenly.

Loved every second of the day. It was well organised beforehand by Simoon Yours and our guides Gio and Eriksson were fantastic - they took several videos and pictures through the day which were sent to us that evening which was a great touch. The ATVs were easy to drive without any experience, even having my partner behind me didn't make it any harder. Climbing over the labs isn't easy, but it's worth it. Wear decent shoes. The sandwiches were great, too! I recommend pulled pork.
