Evy was very knowledgeable and personable. The walking portion of the tour was fairly easy. Evy always tried to stop in shaded areas when she was giving is info. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour!

Interesting and a nice outing

The guide was awesome! There was a mixup with another group and about 1/4 through the walk they joined us. The guide had to go back over some things he already told us which was fine but made it longer. It was very hot and my husband and I left a little earlier. The guide asked how I was doing because my face was very red, I thought that was very nice.

This tour was great! Well worth it! Our tour guide - Evelyn - was very knowledgeable of the culture and history of the island - and shared a lot of fun and "juicy" stories with us. We all shared a lot of laughs. We also got to taste some yummy island treats.

Highly recommended. Not only was our guide knowledgeable in all aspects of Aruban culture and history and could converse seamlessly in at least 7 languages. He was also very knowledgeable about world events in general. We learned so much about Aruba and its place in historical and current events.

A pleasant but slightly long morning tour

First off, Evie, our tour guide was a delight. She was charming, enjoyable, friendly, and went out of her way to ensure everyone could hear and see. We had a group of 13 and it was easy to meet up. Her microphone wasn't working well, so most of the time she didn't use it. It was fine, occasionally, on a busy street it was harder to hear. The tour walked the streets of Oranjestad, and we sampled some Arubian foods. Overall, I very much enjoyed walking a couple leisurely miles in the morning, and I can recommend the tour as a very low-excitement, but informative and pleasant morning. My husband and I felt it was probably an hour longer than it needed to be. We agreed it dragged at times, but again not really due to our guide, or other people in the excursion, mostly due to the length, of walk, stand, listen, walk, stand, listen.

We were told to arrive by 8:45, but the tour didn’t begin until 9:15 and ended by 10:45. The tour was informative and the guide answered our questions, but this wasn’t a good value for $40 apiece.
