What To Expect

This full-day tour of Banff National Park is the perfect way to visit some of the Canadian Rockies’ greatest hits, from Victoria Glacier to Moraine Lake.

Start your day with pickup from select locations in Banff, and proceed on a short drive up to the park’s famous Bow Valley Parkway, a scenic route that is often frequented by local wildlife like elk, deer and more than 200 species of birds.

Back on the coach, continue to a series of mountain peaks below Victoria Glacier. Stop for a quick lunch here at the lake before visiting nearby Moraine Lake, another amazing alpine sight, as well as the Valley of the Ten Peaks.

Moving on, head over the Great Divide and into Yoho National Park, via the picturesque Kicking Horse Pass, for a stop at the Spiral Tunnels. Then finish your sightseeing at magnificent Takakkaw Falls before heading back to Banff in the late afternoon.

A surprising adventure

I'm not a tour kind of guy. I like to find quiet places and spend hours capturing the perfect picture. But I had to ask myself; "What am I missing?" So I went to the tourist spots. But, along the way, I had the luxury of staring at the scenery instead of driving. I went to places I would have avoided and found unexpected things while there. I was impressed by our tour guide/driver. She had an easy competence handling the bus that put me at ease. She was full of information and stories, but it never felt like she was on a script. Herding tourists around for 8 hours must be tiring, but her enthusiasm for her work was on full display all day long. This trip was a bargain. I saw much that I couldn't have seen any other way.

Brewster's July 31 Mountain Lakes and Waterfalls Day Trip from Banff, which I found through Viator, was the absolute highlight of my 7-day vacation from Vancouver to Calgary. The views were awesome: Lake Louise with Victoria Glacier, Moraine Lake (my photo), Emerald Lake, Takakkaw Falls, and all the landscape in between. The bus was comfortable. Lunch and snacks also were provided. Zoe was a delightful guide and really went above and beyond to be helpful. Andrew was a safe driver on the highway and on mountain roads - thank you! - and had a fun sense of humor. Both Zoe and Andrew (photo shared by another passenger Robert of Milwaukee) were friendly and informative. They helped make this one-day tour worth my entire trip to Canada. Thank you!

Disorganized and unreliable.

We ultimately had to cancel this tour.. twice! I gave it 2 stars because they did refund the fee but they require the GUEST to confirm the pick up time the day before.. none of the other tours do that. The TOUR confirms the pick up.. So we missed the bus. We wasted a morning with the agent and were finally booked on the next day's tour and were told we DIDN"T have to confirm since the reservation was being made for the very next day. Then, the same thing happened.. They said we weren't on the list because WE hadn't confirmed.. They just need to get organized! So we did the Hop on Hop off bus instead and had a great time!!

The tour was well organized and Colin and Luke were a very funny duo. The Brewster bus was very new and comfy. I was on one of the last tours for the season so Moraine Lake was starting to freeze, Lake Louise was a bit foggy early but then Yoho NP had no snow and we got to see Emerald Lake in all her beauty. The natural bridge in the same area was throwing wonderful colours too. I'm so glad I got to see the Lakes differently (snow vs no snow vs fog). Makes for diverse memories.

Great Trip and highly recommend. Driver was excellent. Don't t drive to sites because they are very, very crowded. Taking this tour is the best and well worth the money.

Our tour of the mountains and lakes around Banff on July 29th was all we could ever ask for. Every stop was spectacular and the commentary was delightfully informative. Our driver, John and his helper, MacKenzie served us with great attitudes and were very engaging on the entire trip.

The trip was great. The sights are all packed if you travel by car and attempt to do them yourself but there is separate parking for the organised trips so you park close to the locations and don't have to wait. You get just the right amount of time at each place and the driver/guide was really informative and a lovely guy! The only reason that this was not a 5 star review is that the lunch was terrible! And when I say terrible, I actually mean verging on inedible. I have never tasted food with so little flavour, we were starving afterwards. This was the only downside and I would definitely suggest the company look at resolving it or choosing another restaurant.
