My highlights were seeing deer in the distance on the frozen Lake Two Jack then the wild sheep on the hill above Lake Two Jack. Beautiful scenery and our tour guide Simone was very informative.

Wildlife and locations we were taken to were fantastic. Our tour guide was professional, knowledgeable, fun. There was enough time at each spot to take in the splendor. Appreciated the hot chocolate as well. The whole tour was enjoyable and I would take it again.

We had a wonderful experience. Tess our guide was so knowledgeable and we managed to see quite a few things along our way.
Not worth the money
Saurabh_S, Apr 2024
The highlights were not really highlights, this tour missed all the popular points (e.g lake Louise), also did not even see glimpse of bear..(even that is the pickup photo of this tour). It was not worth the money and time. Though the tour guide was very good and keep us engaged but the itinerary was not good.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hi Saurabh, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your recent experience with Radventures. I am sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations, and I appreciate your candid review as it helps us to continually improve. I am glad to hear that our guide kept you engaged, although I'm concerned to hear about your disappointment with the itinerary. I would like to clarify that this 3-hour tour from Banff is designed to explore a variety of local highlights close to and around Banff, with about 10 stops. Given the time constraints and the distance, it's important to note that Lake Louise is about an hour's drive from Banff (one-way) and is not included in this shorter itinerary, with our stops clearly outlined in the itinerary during your booking process. We make every effort to ensure our tour descriptions are clear and accurate, so I'm puzzled that there was an expectation to visit Lake Louise, and I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Regarding the absence of wildlife sightings, such as bears, these experiences are highly unpredictable and typically, bear sightings don't occur until around May - October as bears typically hibernate outside of these times of the year. The image galleries shown by Viator are meant to showcase the potential of what might be seen, but unfortunately, we can't guarantee these sightings as we are in a national park, not a zoo. I understand this might be disappointing and we will continue to review our promotional materials to better manage expectations. We deeply value your input and am committed to making necessary adjustments based on your feedback. If there's an opportunity to discuss your experience further, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at dale@radventurescanada.com. I would be keen to address your concerns personally and discuss how we might be able to offer you another chance to see a bear on a trip in the coming weeks. Thank you once again for your feedback. Warm regards, Dale Schober Founder, Radventures

Wonderful experience
Sophie_S, Dec 2023
Our tour guide was Tess. She made our tour interesting and fun by sharing her knowledge about the mountains, animals and the city Banff. Tess was flexible if any changes were needed. We had a great time on this tour and would definitely do it again and recommend others to do it.
Fun Afternoon in Banff
John_P, Nov 2023
Rae was a great guide! Perfect way to spend an afternoon in Banff - get to see all the highlights, take great pictures and not worry about driving.
A squirrel, a deer, and maybe a bear oh my!! Wait is that an Elk I see.? Great tour guide!
Malena_R, Nov 2023
Tess, our tour guide, was amazing. She was full of advice and suggestions as we visited Banff. She was always ready to take pictures for you at each stop. Though we didn’t see that many wildlife as we had hoped, we were happy to finally see some elk on the tour near the Fairmont Hotel. Thanks Tess for the tour.
Great experience!
Stan_H, Nov 2023
Our most memorable experiences in prior visits to the park were the animals. Those visits were during summer months. This visit was late in the season and except for a few deer, no animals. I thought a tour with someone who knew where to look was our best bet. We took the tour. The animals were all somewhere else. So beside a few more deer, a dozen or so elk and one very cubby raven, no animals. Even though the lack of bears, moose, mtn goats or wolves, I give you 5 stars because of the guide. She was personable, informative and fun. It was a great experience and very enjoyable.

Enjoyable and we saw a lot of wildlife
Sarah_F, Oct 2023
We saw a lot of elk, a coyote that caught a raven and another animal in the woods. The guide was good and I enjoyed that we stopped at a few viewpoints too. However, I did not have a car in Banff, so wildlife spotting may be just as easy when out driving around different locations on your own. It was an enjoyable trip but possibly a bit too pricey for what it consisted of.
A Must See Experience
Mara_M, Oct 2023
I highly recommend this bus tour, which stops at several key areas around Banff that might otherwise be overlooked. Our tour guide was fantastic; knowledgeable, friendly and conservation minded. I booked the tour for the opportunity to see the area with an expert but didn’t expect to see much wildlife, which can be hit or miss. Oh my! Was I ever in for a surprise. Within the first half hour we saw a majestic elk lying in the grass by the roadside. He seemed to be people watching and utterly unfazed by the traffic. We went on to see an adult goat hanging out by the road, waiting for her baby to pop up over the edge of the mountain to join her. We also passed several deer families. Our tour guide had full knowledge of Parks Canada guidelines for wildlife preservation and protection. We kept a safe and respectful distance from the animals at all times and learned about the ways that Parks Canada prioritizes wildlife welfare over unchecked tourist interest. It was heartening. In addition to learning the history of the areas we visited, the highlight of the tour for me was seeing the groups of elk gathered on the green of the Fairmont Banff golf course during their mating season. It was as though the elks had a house party at the rich kids place when their parents were out of town :) Overall, this tour was fantastic. It greatly exceeded expectations start to finish.
Animal Adventure to remember
