Great
Eugene_T, Apr 2024
Journey was quite long. Our guide (Tanya) was good. She even bought a few fruits for us to try and found a spot to stand while we wait for the arrival of the train. Floating Market was a great experience too. Get to taste Coconut Ice Cream while on board the boat for THB 60.
Floating market, temple and train market tour
Tracy_C, Apr 2024
I enjoyed most of the experience the floating market was an opportunity to see a different market. But being squeezed into a small 2 seat bench and not offered a seat each was not acceptable. The tour guide needs to be more focused on the needs of individuals instead of hearding us like cattle in to a small space. The tree template was interesting. The train market was impressive but smelly and not for the faint hearted. I would like to give some practical advice about hygiene in the mini bus. The bus was not clean and the driver clearly did not care about the passengers wellbeing. The mini bus should be cleaned after each tour and the drivers rubbish take out. The Aircon needed to be re gassed as it did not work efficiently. Lastly the tour guide was not very professional and he did not enough detail through out the tour. He was not very enthusiastic. Which in my opinion makes a good tour experience.
This tour 'did the job'...
Graeme_W, Apr 2024
This tour 'did the job' in that we saw the items on the itinerary. However, the bus driver was erratic and drove at unnecessarily high speeds which were not safe. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost.
Floating market

The actual market & RR were great. Not impressed w/ Wander Siam. Couldn’t find pick up point. Another tourist almost missed tour as 2 of her cabs couldn’t find p/u point either. At the end I asked for help getting a cab back to my hotel, was told twice by Tony he’d help me but got out of the van early & left me w/ no transport or assistance back to my hotel. Van driver spoke no English.
Don’t bother
ettomczak, Apr 2024
Overall, my experience with the tour was disappointing. The guide's English proficiency was lacking, and their rushed demeanor left much to be desired. Additionally, the van's air conditioning malfunctioned on the return trip to Bangkok, subjecting us to sweltering heat and humidity. This excursion fell far short of my expectations and felt like a tourist trap.
Very interesting
Eric_S, Apr 2024
Both markets are really something to see. Might be a bit of a drive, but worth it. Plenty of places to eat and shop too.
Well worth it!
Gustav_S, Apr 2024
Our tour guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable, the tour itself was just the right duration. Well organised, pick up points are always clearly explained and there is enough time for your own private exploration at the destinations.
An excellent day trip!
Lucy_J, Apr 2024
The whole day of this trip was excellent! Our tour guide was lovely, making sure she told us all the history, important information and keeping us entertained! We had extra time on the floating market and she made sure we were at the railway market for when the train was passing through. I would highly recommend this trip!

The floating market was a beautiful and singolar experience surronded by nature. The railway market was crazy and we have found a lot of typical products.
Wow we loved it

Perfect for Tourists
Malena_F, Mar 2024
Nice and interesting tour. Definitely a sight to see! Shopping on tthe water at floating market is something you don‘t experience every day.
Made my day and well planned
Kartik_S, Mar 2024
It was very hot and as soon as we entered the bus van they provided cold water. The guide was very friendly and give all answers whenever I asked him
Bad experience with agency
Eduardo_K, Mar 2024
Our supposed English guide spoke really bad English, I was able to understand only half of the information. Our departure time was delayed at the start by another couple by almost half an hour, without any action by the guide. Which almost made us loose our first attraction.
Long ride
Geraint_W, Mar 2024
3.5 hrs in a Toyota High Ace in total for a 5-6hr experience. 1st stop temple for 17mins (small one covered in vines). 2nd stop floating market. Essentially a quick 15mins in a long but to then be hustled into a 200m stretch of market stalls to be then dropped off for 40mins for lunch. Then into train market. Tiny stretch of market stalls that lift that canvas roofs to let the train go by at 2mph. I'd have stayed in Bangkok to see other sights had I know
The organisation was...
Lynn_L, Mar 2024
The organisation was disappointing having been told at short notice the evening before that we were no longer able to have hotel pick up. We found our way to meeting point 15 minutes early as strictly instructed not to be late and to take account of rush hour- only our driver was delayed in traffic and the tour began 25 minutes late no real apology! The floating market and railway market were both great in themselves but our tour guide really added no value giving no real information about either. Would definitely recommend the trip but the organisation and guide were not the best.
Awful tour…horrible tour guide!
Jill_W, Mar 2024
While the tour had potential, our tour guide was absolutely terrible. He provided almost no information during the entire excursion, had very poor English and could not understand many of our questions, had to be prompted to let us know where to meet up at each stopping point snd did little to ensure the guests could follow him. We would have had the same experience with a driver and no guide. Fell asleep for most of the way back from the floating market. WanderSiam needs to do a lot more work vetting their tour guides and this was NOT worth the cost of the tour.
Fun tour - lots to experience
Michael_L, Mar 2024
Fun tour. Lots to see and experience. Many W/C stops to ensure a stress free day. I highly recommend this tour.
Great places to visit, needed more info
Sue_M, Mar 2024
Both markets were definitely worth the visit and the small group tour (despite that ours was one person over the promised 10 or fewer) was fine. But the guide provided no information on what to expect at either stop, or the additional temple stop. And it was a more than 2-hour drive from downtown Bangkok to the floating market (including a brief toilet stop). We had booked - at the their suggestion - a hotel pickup but the van was waiting at the wrong hotel. After a series of emails, we got it straightened out, but for a few minutes I thought they were going to go without us. Fortunately, our guide from the previous day had warned us to keep our hands, shoulder, cameras inside the boat at the floating market. We didn't know if we could ask the longboat driver to stop at vendors or how long we'd have in the boat; we did stop briefly so a couple people could buy a beer, ice cream and souvenirs. Back at the dock, the guide walked quickly without saying where we were going, but eventually stopped and gave us a bit of free time - that was great for taking photos and shopping for those who desired to do so. Same at train market - we arrived just a train went through, so missed the activity on the tracks. But another train was coming in 20 minutes and the guide gave us about an hour of free time, but again with no info on the best place to be. We did not know you could walk down the tracks a bit and rent a seat and have a beer while awaiting the next train, so unfortunately my friend who does not walk as well did not venture far and missed that opportunity. She went back to sit at the end of the market where we were to meet, and I went on along and was able to see the vendors pull in the awnings, goods and stray tourists when the train arrived. It cost 100 baht (about $3) to have a stool and a pint. Best to have baht for these markets, although some vendors take credit cards. I tried to make a purchase using US dollars and after a gaggle of train market vendors examined them they deemed only a couple of the bills worth taking saying the others were "too new." Not sure what that was about but I did not make the purchase. We stopped at Wat Bang Kung, where a small temple is encased in a banyan tree. It was not until we arrived that the guide told several young women they could not get out of the van because they had bare shoulders. They seemed surprised but the tour information did say that women's knees and shoulders must be covered to visit the temple (this is true at most temples). With just a little more info from the guide - we had two hours plus in the van so there was plenty of time -- on what to expect at the places we were visiting I would have given this four or maybe even five stars. The price was reasonable for what we did.
