Temple of the Dawn (Wat Arun) Tours and Tickets

This morning tour to the Grand Palace/Emerald Buddha and Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn) included a long-tail boat journey through the Chao Phraya River as well. Our guide was Sophie who was one of the most professional and easy to understand guides we have ever had in Thailand. We had a tight schedule as we had to join a second afternoon tour with a different company in order to see the other 3 main temples in Bangkok. Without any request, Sophie was calling the other tour company to give them our ETA back at our hotel. Typical Tour East professionalism (first time we toured with them in Thailand was back in 1976 and again in 1994). Tour East is always highly recommended for its quality of guides and tour content. You get what you pay for!

The canals in Bangkok have a lock system that you have to navigate to enter the canals. Once inside you will see water monitors and the second largest Big Buddha in Thailand. Wat Arun is a must see. The four hour trip was perfect to see something and still have the rest of the day to do other things. Our guide was fantastic and took us to a great restaurant that was not part of the tour.

Great option for a half day tour… our guide Belle was great, very knowledgeable and accommodating … the reclining Buddha is impressive!

My business colleagues and I enjoyed an afternoon visiting the most famous sites in Bangkok. The Presidential Palace was unfortunately closed due to an impending visit by the king, but we did enjoy the main temples. They are so colorful! Sunny our guide did a great job herding us around. The only negatives were the crowds and the sweltering heat that is Bangkok.

Good Tour- very educational. Only complaint is that our particular guide spend a fair amount of time talking on her phone while we were at the Temple of the Dawn. I realize it may have been an emergency, but she did not indicate that to us or give the impression that it was an emergency. She also seemed unsure how we were getting back to our hotel. We took the public river transport, which was fine- it just seemed a bit unplanned.

there was no one else on this tour so it was like a private tour for us, worth every dollar and more. Pim was so knowledgeable on all the sites and was eager to share with us. we got a really deep understanding of the sites and came away from this tour completely satisfied. Thank you Pim!!!!

Great day. Beautiful weather. The tour guide Donald was awesome. Super knowledgeable. he also took us to a great restaurant for lunch. really a fantastic day.
