First, hit up a local market with your personal chef picking up the night’s fresh wares. Once back at the studio, drink local wines and craft your own paella. A wonderful way to spend several hours experiencing Barcelona!

This was a wonderful 2 part experience. The tour of the market, where we purchased ingredients for the day's meals, and then the actual cooking course. Everything was very well planned, and executed impeccably! I would recommend this be the first tour booked on any trips to Barcelona!

A lovely experience

This was a lovely experience that I recommend to everyone! We started with a walk through the market to buy ingredients, where Mara explained everything we are buying. The kitchen area is a short walk from the market, we had fun time cooking paella together with other guests from various countries.

This was an absolute favorite and a must do experience to see the beauty and heart of Barcelona local life. The experience started with a detailed walk through the Mercat de la Boqueria to find essential ingredients for paella. This was followed by a quick walk to the kitchen with an intimate setting. We all learned and participated step by step instructions to make Arroz Negro (along with sangria and Pan con tomate). We were then able to eat and talk with everyone together afterwards. Instructor Mara was such a patient and passionate person while sharing her family’s recipe with us. She made this experience truly an invaluable experience that I would wholeheartedly recommend to all visitors of all ages.

This was a lot of fun! Our host/chef was so nice and helpful. She also gave us great recommendations around the city. This would be fun for couples, and just groups of friends.

Halina was great, the sangria experience, the shopping in the market, the preparation was interactive and fun. All six of us really enjoyed the experience! Paella was authentic and delicious. Great way to make new friendships and learn how to make paella.

This was our first time time in Barcelona and we were deciding what to do for tours and came across the cooking option. It seemed like so much fun and it truly was. We had a fantastic time! We met Helina at the market and she showed us where she buys her fish and spices and we picked up what we needed for the class. She showed us around the market and she gave us tips and tricks along the way. We then went to a bakery to pick up our bread for the pan de tomato (so good) and then headed to the kitchen. Her school space is darling and we all chipped in chopping, cleaning and making the paella, along with some homemade sangria. It was great getting to know our fellow "classmates" and we all had fun making the food, taking pictures, and, of course, eating the food. Well done class!
