The boat trip to Polignano a Mare was awesome! Our captain really knew their stuff, sharing cool facts about the caves along the way. Plus, they even had wine and snacks onboard, adding a fancy touch to the whole adventure. Being in a small group made it super chill, and we all vibed together. Cruising through the crystal-clear waters, we got to see the stunning coastal beauty of Polignano a Mare from a whole new perspective. It was like uncovering hidden treasures with every turn! With the captain leading the way, we felt totally safe and entertained, especially with their funny stories. Overall, this trip had it all – fun, relaxation, and good eats. Definitely a must for anyone visiting the area!

The boat trip was really nice, with a brief stop to jump in the water and enjoy a drink. Very nice views. But dont expect a good guide, the stories they tell at each stop are short or not even correct.

The boat excursion was a lot of fun. The waves were higher than usual due to wind, but that's all part of the experience. It's the only way to truly see the caves up close and personal. Also we got to swim into the cave below the restaurant, that was a really cool experience.

It was a great experience - view on Polignano a Mare from the boat is awesome, grottos are stunning, swiming in opened sea and Prosecco after ❤️ The tour operator also helped us to find a transport to a meeting point and back (as it is rather on an outscirts) - we've booked a nice tuk tuk for three people, so getting there and back was easy (though highly recommend to book it in upfront). The only small inconvenience we had - no dedicated place to change from wet swimsuits, you have to use toilet in a cafe

Just the right amount of time to enjoy highlights

Easy access to get on and off the boat. It only takes 10 so was perfect. It was long enough to see the highlights of the interesting caves and a quick dip but not too long in the heat of the day. I could have bobbed along in the water all afternoon but was tempted back on the boat by a glass of processco. Such a nice touch. Cute cafes nearby to enjoy lunch afterwards too

The information from our guide, Gabriela, was helpful. He answered any questions we had. Entering the grottos and stopping to take photos of the water and ceiling, etc was my favorite. The colors of waters were unbelievable and crystal clear. We wouldn’t have been able to experience it without our boat excursion. I highly recommend Dorino and his nephew Gabriela.

Alternative way to see Polignano a Mare!

The trip included an English guide who explained the features of the different caves along the coast line. It meant we could see the bays of Polignano a Mare without dealing with all the people! It ended with a glorious dip in the sea - perhaps this could have been a little longer - a small glass of prosecco and a welcome snack. Strong swimmers only as the boat docked up in deep water to swim. Parking is also very difficult in the port. There is a big car park but it is for users of the fancy hotel only, not us. It seems very unfair! So get there early to park.

Cheap and Cheerful

This is a cheap and cheerful boat ride ! The skipper Chris was very pleasant and his commentary was great. He skilfully drove us into small caves up and down the coast of Polignano which was wonderful to see by water. The boat is rather small and we had 11 adults plus skipper crammed on even though it’s advertised as 10 people max. The aperitif is 1/2 plastic glass of Prosecco. As I said cheap and cheerful and overall a very pleasant 1.5hr tour. Also there are no taxis in Polignano so allow time to get to the meeting point . We almost missed our boarding time as our transfer was running late 😬 Swimming in the Adriatic Sea though is pure bliss !

Bad Boat Trip

Did not make the trip. There was no parking and no signage for the boat dock. Don't book this tour. Called operator and she was no help. Small dock by a public beach and a restaurant, good landmark, but did not mention it. But the parking was the problem half hour before trip the closest parking was 1km away.

What a fantastic start to our stay! Totally recommend this small boat tour. Nicholas, our guide, was knowledgeable of the area and had such a fun sense of humor! So very glad we did this as a family: my parents, husband, & 2 teenagers :)
