  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We had an amazing time with Henry as our guide. He was very friendly and informative. His knowledge of the area made the hiking between ruins seem much easier. If you plan a visit, I highly recommend. Great communication prior and during the tour.

Tikal is amazing

This was by far the highlight of the trip to Guatemala. The van was clean and had AC, the process to enter the park was simple, and the experience was amazing. We saw all kinds of jungle animals, and the ruins were amazing. We would definitely rebook this tour.

Marlon is exceptional Tikal expert with 20 years of experience. Before you know it, every ruins details to the best photo spots he’s got you covered! Definitely worth the visit all the way from New York !

Henry was fantastic—the tour, info, and hike was great. The lunch was fine, a nice end to some serious jungle walking. I went with my 12 year old daughter and he was able to address both our interests with ease.
Amazing tour with Marlon!

This was truly one of the best tours we have ever been on. It was a private tour with veteran guide Marlon, who took us through the most interesting parts of the Tikal area. His knowledge about the history and architecture of the Mayan empire is truly astounding, as is his knowledge of nature and the animals living in the park. He is also concerned with the environment and takes care to make sure the people that he meets are respectful to the ruins and to nature. Finally, he keeps an eye on the health of his guests to make sure they don't pass out from the heat! The arranged lunch was good and very welcome after the warm walk. Communication via WhatsApp worked well. If we ever return to the area we will be sure to seek out Marlon again.
Tikal is interesting, beautiful, and enchanting, Marlon makes it even better!

This is by far one of the best tours we have ever taken. Firstly, Tiklan is just a brilliant place to explore, learn about, and feel the Mayan civilization and its history. It is enchanting in itself and its surroundings. Secondly, the whole experience is enhanced and actually rests on Marlon's shoulders and his incredible knowledge of the region, the history, the culture, the flora and fauna, and the current situation. We learned something new every hundred meters, we climbed each available site, savored the views, and absorbed as much as we could from Marlon's wikipedia-like brain. He made the experience remarkable. Highly recommended visit, more than highly recommended tour guide!

I had an amazing time in Guatemala and a large part of that was due to Marlon (GEM Tours). I have been on many tours, and he is the best tour guide I have ever had. 1. He really cares about your comfort and well-being. The tour was paced to my needs which was really nice when needing to stop a couple of times when climbing the many stairs. 2. Marlon has a wide range of knowledge that goes far beyond archeological facts. For instance, he was able to share names of birds, animals, and trees with fun tidbits about the forest. 3. He was patient with my many questions and has more of a dialogue with you instead of only reciting facts which makes for an engaging tour. 4. I was able to go on 3 tours with Marlon on 3 different days and each day was memorable. 1st-Tikal, 2nd-Uaxactun and Yuxha 3rd-Blue Crater. I feel like I could go on and on about what a wonderful experience I had in Guatemala especially because of Marlon but hope you can book a trip with him and see for yourself.

INCROYABLE ! Henry nous a fait vivre une journée mémorable, rempli de commentaire par rapport à l’histoire Maya, la faune et la flore. Il s’est plusieurs fois gentiment proposer de nous prendre en photo face au temple. Le repas qui a suivit s’est fait dans un restaurant très charmant. Et le transport et la communication on été hyper fluide ! Quel souvenirs ! Merci merci merci ! Nous recommandons fortement !
