What To Expect

Your day starts with morning pickup at Brisbane Transit Centre and a scenic drive through Numinbah Valley with views of Mt Tamborine. Approximately 62 miles (100 km) south of Brisbane, you reach Springbrook National Park, which lies within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage area.

Follow your guide on a hike that takes you into the rainforest and past waterfalls in this lush landscape. Hear about the region’s diverse wildlife, which includes more than 1,700 species of flowering plants and 500 vertebrate animals. Keep an eye out for pademelons (similar to wallabies), goannas, Australian water dragons and Australian brush-turkeys.

Near the arched rock of Natural Bridge, you can see Cave Creek waterfall as it plunges into a pool below as well as a cave with glow worms, which resemble tiny stars on the cave walls. Be on the lookout for Australian wildlife such as rosellas, king parrots, bowerbirds and kangaroos.

In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Tamorine Mountain Glow Worm Caves at Cedar Creek, for your final rainforest walk of the day. See an audio-visual display on glow worms, whose brilliant blue-green lights are actually emitted by the tiny larvae of a fungus fly. Step inside the second cave filled with thousands of glowing worms!

Stroll along the Curtis Falls track, a moderately challenging 1-mile (1.6-km) trail that includes 101 steps. Descend beneath towering gum trees to the viewing platform over Curtis Creek, then continue down to a second platform overlooking a waterfall that cascades into a large rock pool.

After the drive back to Brisbane, you're dropped off at your original departure point.

Great tour guide, really enjoyed this trip. Especially our guide was really enthusiastic, telling us a lot of histories and backgrounds of those places and sightseeing areas and also trying to make us experience of those wild animals throughout the trip. Highpy recommend this tour with the amazing guide.

Excellent, well-organized tour of the Tamborine and Springbrook natural areas.
David_M, Apr 2024
An excellent, well-organized tour of the Tamborine and Springbrook natural areas. Most of the tour is pleasant, leisurely driving through sceneric natural areas with a few stops for some easy hikes to waterfalls and other beautiful scenes. Bottled water is provided, and there are plenty of restroom opportunities along the way (be sure to bring hand sanitizer since most public bathrooms don't have soap or hot water). There is a 1.5 hour lunchtime allocation to self-explore the quaint tourist village of Mount Tamborine which offers plenty of coffee, cafes, fudge, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and arts/crafts. James is an excellent host, clearly experienced, with perfect knowledge of how to lead a pleasant and entertaining daytrip. He has an ideal personality and attitude that makes for a perfect tour guide! The only suggestion I have is to offer guests a wine tasting option as an alternative to the glow worm cave since the location offers both.
Fantastic day!!! Glow...

Fantastic day!!! Glow worms were incredibly interesting. We also saw bats, waterfalls, and the rainforest. Guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Great Tour, with disappointing worms
James_L, Mar 2024
This was a very enjoyable tour. Be ready for a long day with lots of walking up and down mountains. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure the group stayed together, and got to see as much wildlife as possable. There's a 90 minute stop for lunch in a small town, which has lots of options but you will need to bring cash if you plan on getting something to eat. The 4☆ part of this review is completely regarding the "glow worm cave". It looks nothing like pictures or videos you might have seen online or on other listings for this tour. Please go in with very low expectations regarding this part of the tour.
Incredible Experience
Wendy_C, Mar 2024
Pick up was quick and efficient. Our group was small and intimate, and our tour guide was amazing! He knew the area and took us places to have the best chance to see wildlife. We saw all the places listed on the tour, but we also saw the following in the wild: koala, kangaroos, wallabies, pademelon (with a joey), and ferrets. His knowledge was incredible and he was personable to our questions/requests. I highly recommend this tour!
Great guide experience
Wendi_C, Mar 2024
The driver/guide James was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with us on the way out and on the way back. He was experienced in looking for birds and other animals.
Okay tour.
Stephanie_C, Mar 2024
The tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable but this tour wasn’t what I was expecting. I thought it’d be more of a hike rather than a walk. I also didn’t realize that after driving one hour away to the first rainforest, then we’d have to drive another hour to the next rainforest, then one more hour back to the meeting point. I felt car sick and had a headache because there wasn’t a lot of AC in the back where I was sitting, and the volume of the tour guide’s voice over the speaker was so loud. I’m sure others love this tour but it just wasn’t for me.
Beautiful nature ...
Liljana_S, Mar 2024
Beautiful nature Kind people Driver who speaks too quickly, he knows much, but also can speaks 15min about Cricket or football. Anyway this tour between price and what you can see is only for 3* and maybe it is the reason why we were only 8 people into the bus.
James Excellent Guide - Great at Spotting Wildlife

James Excellent Guide - Great Commentary & Great at Spotting Wildlife. Had a small group and not rushed.
Great tour with the flow worm cave
Ryan_S, Feb 2024
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was filled with interesting information about the rainforest and surrounding areas. The only suggestion I would make is possibly offering a private tour. A lot of the tour was ruined by obnoxious fellow tourists (who were verbally reprimanded for touching the glowworms in the glow worm cave).
Long day for not much to see
camille_b, Jan 2024
James is a very knowledgeable and incredibly enthusiastic guide. We've lurnt so much from him. However I must say that it is a very long day for very little to see. You'll spend about 30min at the waterfall, another 30min at the glow worm cave (that you could visit in one minute but the local guide talks, and talks, and talks). But spent 90min for lunch break when most of us had brought our own sandwiches. Maybe adding another activity could make the tour worth it. James gets a 5-star rating, though :)
Would recommend
Krystal_H, Dec 2023
Would recommend. James the guide is very knowledgeable and considerate of us all. The walk into the jungle is very nice. Even though it was after the storm and the walking conditions were not that good. Thanks to James for helping our way down. Springbrook was not opened cuz of the storms. But James is very good at planning ahead to take us to some lookout points and even a wild koala. Overall, would recommend. We had a good time. Just one thing - I wish the tour company could have informed us about the chances of a closing attraction a day beforehand instead of telling us after getting into the bus.
Sad
TienDung_L, Dec 2023
We took the tour few days after a bad thunderstorm (Dec 26). Tour operator should cancelled that excursion as we could not go all places mention on the ad. The guide was excellent with his explanation. He even did some cleaning in a rainforest in order to allow us to visit.
An all-round great day out
COLIN_C, Dec 2023
Great tour guide. Comfortable transport. Super sightseeing experiences in fabulous locations. An all-round great day out.
A brilliant day out, with a care super guide. Wonderful scenery and very good value.
Ann_P, Dec 2023
The best part for us was the walk through the Springbrook rain forest to the natural cave, led by our super guide Brian.
Springbrook and Tambourine Rainforest
Diego_V, Nov 2023
It was a good experience overall. However (this is of course a purely subjective point of view) - I think we spent way more time than needed at the glow worm cave. It could easily be a 10-15 min experience instead of standing there in a line for double the time or even more. Besides that, everything else was fine.
Great opportunities to see wildlife!
Caran_P, Nov 2023
This tour was great- 2 national parks, a little shopping, wildlife spotting (wild koala, kangaroo, wallaby, etc), and glow worms!
Lush Rainforest
James_P, Nov 2023
Beautiful rainforest walks. Saw several tropical birds, kangaroos and koalas. Unique glow worm tour.
Enjoying the natural landscape
