    The guide knew his subject but his voice was so soft he was very difficult to hear and I missed much of what he was saying. He needs some sort of amplification or listening device. The boat ride isn’t part of the tour, it’s a ticket for a post-tour boat ride.
    Waste of money, book through Legends

    Tour guide was fantastic. But the itinerary in the booking was from a free tour company called Legends. If you are able to book with them directly, it is completely free tour. Even the chocolate tasting mentioned in the booking wasn’t included. Boat trip was worth it

    Our guide was a late replacement and didn’t know we were to do the canal boat ride. His guided tour was faultless and his knowledge of the history of Brugge was impressive. He was a teacher at the local high school and was very confident addressing the group. His English was perfect. It was a shame that he was let down by the company running the tour. We did manage to do the canal boat section of the tour independently as our guide had to leave us at the Grand market square as he was teaching in the afternoon and would have been late if he accompanied us to the boat dock. He did tell us where he thought the boat may leave from.

    Traveled the world, worst guided tour we've experienced. Poor speaking in volume and clarity, awkward silences, tried to be funny but not, very strict on being on top of the guide. Boat ride was good but can do that on your own. Honestly, not being mean or dramatic, don't do this tour, you'll lose most of your day. We left the tour before it ended by just walking away. We felt cheated on our day. :(

    Brugge is a beautiful city and I was very excited to tour it with friends. However, our tour guide made our trip much less enjoyable. He was very hard to understand even though I booked an English guide. Also the tour was very rushed which made it difficult to take everything in. We eventually left the tour to venture out on our own in order to see more sights. The canal tour was better but I still feel like we never got the ful Brugge experience.

    Good way to learn about the history of Bruges and a good orientation to the city (which is really quite compact). We learned about the "lake of tears". Highly recommend the boat ride as our captain was very entertaining.

    Had a hard time hearing the walking tour guide and boat tour guide. What we could hear from the walking tour guide was interesting and informative. The walking tour guide was also a really fast walker. We had a hard time keeping up at times with 2 kids (10 and 7).

    A comprehensive tour to see the popular landmarks and learn about the history of Bruges. The tour starts on foot and ends on boat (with a different tour guide/operator). Our (on foot) guide was very nice and knew a lot about the city. The boat tour was nice but it was difficult to hear the tour guide and the fact that he was trying to give the tour in several languages sometimes made it less interesting. It was still nice to see the city from the water.
    Not suitable to Anyone who walks slow

    We were a group of 3 and one was 86 and moved slow. I let the guide know we had a slow moving guest. After the first, we were no longer able to keep up with the group. We told we had to stop and asked where to pick up the boat ride. He pointed on a map and continued on. We went to 4 different boat launches and none of the would take out passes. We ended up paying for boat tickets.

    This tour was almost good. We stopped at important and lovely spots. I think if we didn’t have a solid background in the history of the area already, some of the explanations would have made no sense. Our guide was very rushed to get through everything and it was hard to hear her. I saw other tour groups with the mic/headphone setup, and I think that would have been great to have on this experience. The guide on the boat tour was completely inaudible. They also pack you in the boat like sardines so we were extremely uncomfortable the whole time. Do not recommend this experience.

    Getting an overview of the city. The only recommendation would be that the tour guide have a sign, umbrella, or some identifier at the location point as it created some anxiety in trying to find the group at the initial location.

    The meeting location was easy to find and the tour started on time. Tanny was our guide and we loved her! She was high energy, knowledgeable and friendly! She made the tour fun! We saw some great attractions and had enough time to hop in and out of a store or two. The boat tour was a good compliment to the walking tour. The walking tour was almost 2 hours and the boat tour was close to half an hour. The tours gave us the info we needed to double back to some of the attractions and museums before leaving Bruges. We were also lucky to have clear weather (slightly chilly on the boat tour - bring a hat and gloves if visiting in winter) with no rain because the tour is completely outside.
