Piet was an amazing tour guide. He spent years as a history professor and you could tell he had depth and breadth of the historical knowledge of Brugge. My father and I had a wonderful time on his tour.

Engaging walking tour with a knowledgeable local guide

This was a highlight of our trip to Europe! Louise was deeply knowledgeable about Brugge (as a person who had been born and raised there) and so proud to share his beloved city with us! He shared many stories and anecdotes that made the tour much more interesting than the usual tours! He seamlessly accommodated our 5-year old child who was not too enthusiastic at times. Excellent tour, will look for Louis again next time we visit Brugge

First trip to Bruges, Belgium

My wife and I have just spent 3 days over New Year in Bruges celebrating my birthday. On our first full day we had arranged a 2 hour private walking tour (through Viator) with Piet. You can do as much pre-trip research as you like online and using a guide book but there is nothing like the experience of a local guide. We covered far more of Bruges in our 2 hour walking tour than we had expected and it really helped us plan the next couple of days when we were on our own. We can highly recommend both 'Legends' as a company and Piet as a great guide. Thank you Piet!

We had a great tour with Emil. He started by giving us the background of Brugge from the beginning fortified small compound, to the beauty it is today. As we walked along - away from the crowds we were shown and told about the build up of wealth, the guilds, and the French, Flemish, German cultures interacting. We visited some out of the way places we would have never found on our own, and enjoyed walking through the maze of streets. He even suggested restaurants, and types of traditional food to try. We loved the tour and learned so much! Thanks Emil!

Martin was fabulous! He took the time to explain the history of Bruges in an interesting manner. He explained the architecture, educated us in the local customs for each century, and explained the origins of many modern sayings based upon Bruges history. He also recommended a number of additional places in Bruges for us to tour. Gave great tips on best places we would enjoy dining and shopping. The private tour was enjoyable and well worth our time.
