      Old catamaran, pictures are deceiving
      Maggie_C, Apr 2024
The pictures of the catamaran are a bit deceiving, it is most definitely not a new catamaran - it’s very old and dated with rust and paint chips throughout the La Princesca. I was very disappointed to aboard an old catarmaran when the pictures portrayed a nice new one. The bathroom does not have a door, it’s essentially a plastic covering with no lock. “Open bar” is also not allowed until after snorkeling but they did pass out two beers as an exception. Afterwards margaritas, etc were flowing. Snacks are Hawaiian roll tuna sandwiches with chips, salsa and guacamole. The catamaran also had a shade cover over the whole vessel unlike the pictures which actually made the ride a bit cold for April weather conditions - would have been nice to have some sun on the nets.
      Awesome!

There's good and bad. Choose carefully.

I typically don't write detailed reviews, but this time I chose to. Good: The boatride went up to the Arch at the start, that was an added bonus not everyone does. They were generous with drinks on the way back, and the boat ride was a lot of fun. It's a catamaran and it handled the roughs pretty well. The partly covered deck ensured we weren't baking in the Sun (unless we chose to). Bad: The snorkel equipment was poor - masks broken, snorkels coming off. No fins whatsoever - it's the first operator I've known that didn't have fins. Most life jackets were waist-jackets and not the same as the typical "vest". There was very little instructions or verification if masks/snorkels/jackets fit. For experienced snorkelers like me, it's all good, but beginners in my group were really clueless and disappointed.
      Fun

It was a little difficult to find D port to get to our boat. Thank goodness we left early to find it. The boat was great and the crew was very nice. We enjoyed the views and snorkeling with a ton of fish! Would have liked a little guidance on the views we were looking at but there was no conversation at all. The "snacks" were drinks, chips and tuna sandwiches on buns, guacamole and salsa. That was just ok. We enjoyed the music and boat ride back to Port. Great for families.
      Response from Host, May 2023
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the boat and crew, and that you had a great time snorkeling with a ton of fish. However, we apologize for the difficulty you experienced in finding D port to get to our boat. We will work on improving our communication and making it easier for our customers to locate us. Regarding the lack of conversation and guidance on the views, we appreciate your feedback and will work with our crew to ensure that they provide more information and create a more engaging experience for our guests. We are sorry to hear that the snacks did not meet your expectations. We will review our snack offerings and see if we can make improvements to provide a better experience for our customers. Thank you again for choosing our half-day snorkeling experience and for sharing your thoughts with us. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Best regards,

They over booked and were mad I counted my child as a child. Keep in mind who is 6 years old. They only look at adult bodies. That happened to a few other families on the excursions as well. They made it sound like our fault. When I showed them the Viator ticket, again, they were very upset. Also lunch was tuna sandwiches. Look at other options.
Okay for families maybe , not for us .

The “open bar” concept is a bit far fetched. It was certain drinks and beers. The “snacks” were only good for half of our party cause the other half did not eat “tuna sandwiches”. It would be a better idea if they had cold cuts so people can make their own sandwiches and , more variety of beer since the drinks are very watered down. The guys were great and the music was good. But next time we will book a private ride.

Broken life vests, not safe. Was told it’s normal and to jump into water. Would not recommend for kids.
