What To Expect

Your private Tequila and mezcal experience will begin at a tasting room in central Cabo San Lucas, walking distance from top shopping and hotel areas. (That means there's no need to drive, either before or after the tasting.)

You’ll taste six varieties of handmade Tequila and three kinds of mezcal, with an dedicated tasting guide to explain the process and traditions behind each thing you taste. Each artisanal drink will be paired with snacks such as dark chocolate, agave heart, meat, shrimp, cheese, and—for a uniquely Mexican experience—grasshoppers.

Unlike big-group tasting tours, this experience ensures a personalized experience curated by a private guide. That translates to an in-depth introduction to two famed Mexican spirits.

Juan Andreas was an excellent host and educator. He taught the group so much valuable information about tequila and mezcal including nuances that I think would be hard to find online. Really great guy and great experience! The only negative thing I have to say is for the woman (owner?) who opened a window while we were in session and yelled at him to hurry up and end the session. She could have been more professional and polite by just coming in and asking to speak outside of the door. Incredibly rude to treat your staff that way.

4/2024 This was a tequila tasting and Mezcal tasting. They gave us a brief education on start to finish of tequila making. There were four tequila samples that you had with a tiny appetizer, which surprisingly and pleasantly changes the flavor after you drink the tequila. They have 3 samples of Mezcal. The four of us really enjoyed ourselves. One of our group members tried the chocolate covered chapulin. We covered a lot in 1.5 hours. Definitely entertaining.

This is an exceptional history and time line presentation of tequila in Mexico. This is NOT a place to come and get drunk from doing multiple shots, it’s an immersive and detailed history of the process and cultivation of tequila throughout time. We tasted only high quality tequila, pairing it with various flavors and foods, and we learned how to enjoy tasting tequila, not throwing it back in a shot form. Highly recommended for the historical aspects of enjoying tequila.

Louis was great! Learned how Tequila/Mezcal is distilled. We sampled several Tequila and Mezcals which were all smooth tasting. We also learned proper way of tasting Tequila. Prices were fair and quality was amazing.

This is a great experience for anyone e interested in tequila. I quit drinking 20 years ago because I no longer enjoy it. My husband wanted to go so we signed up and arrived to find a small group of four guests. Following the hosts instructions I learned tequila is to be savored, not done as a shot. We sampled 4 tequilas and 3 mezcals, I didn't care for the mezcal so I did pass on those. Our host was so interesting to listen to. He had so much information on the history and production of these very enjoyable products. Despite having given up on drinking we bought three bottles of tequila to take home and enjoy the way we were taught, NO guzzling!
