This was a great way for our family to see outside of San Jose and Cabo San Lucas! Balandra beach was such a beautiful spectacle, and we had more than enough time to explore Todos Santos (beautiful town)! Thomas was our guide and he was kind, knowledgeable of the places, and patient. He navigated minor hiccups really well and adapted. He is also fluent in english which helped to make the experience more meaningful. This does take the whole day! So be prepared to have all necessary items to have a great experience.

Tour date(03/22/24): Francisco was the best tour guide!! He was very professional, friendly, informative and always helpful! I am not fluent with Spanish and he helped me when I needed to communicate at any stops. He is fluent with Spanish and English. This tour was exciting! The ocean views were absolutely amazing and stops were so much fun! Also, Francisco ALWAYS made sure we were all accounted for with every stop! This was my first tour and first day after arrivinv into Cabo San Lucas, so it began my vacation so well! Thank you again Francisco!

When I booked our day tour to LaPaz, Balandra and Todos Santos I specifically chose Viatours as I felt that as a reputable company that I had booked with before they would have a high standard of product and service… Initially, communication with staff regarding pickup was exceptional…felt very confident that we had made a good choice. Waited in the dark at 4:15 pm for driver, who did finally call and told me we were at the wrong pickup spot, contacted office and that was quickly addressed… once on the road ( we were 1st clients to be picked up) we stopped for 2nd pick up at the RIU and, again confusion as to where clients were, found that couple and then picked up last client at the Chedraui… our driver was just that, a driver. Did not introduce himself ( Anthony) and rarely initiated any conversations…shortly into the trip it became apparent that there was no ‘tour’… if we asked questions he attempted to answer but pretty much spent the entire drive conversing with the Spanish speaking client in the front passenger seat… Arrived at Balandra beach ( would have been helpful to have prior knowledge of kayak rentals) we did rent and enjoyed the time there on the water… virtually no information regarding the area, Anthony left to hang out (smoking) with other drivers…the total lack of service, opening car doors etc was surprising, and disappointing. After Balandra we were taken to another beach nearby which was definitely sketchy, an drug transaction was openly taking place in the restaurant, staff was surly, bathrooms extremely gross…we walked the beach and purchased a beer to get shade under a palapa… again, no sign of Anthony until he came to tell us he was leaving to help another tour guide and would return shortly, shortly became over an hour to the point that we all were wondering if he was returning … from there it got worse as he did not apologize for the delay, complained about the traffic going to La Paz, phoned our lunch orders in to the restaurant, kept saying as we arrived in La Paz that we would be there in a few minutes, it took over an hour and then after parking and walking he couldn’t find the restaurant… made a call and drove further to where our lunch was… it was cold and not nice… from there he took us to La Paz boardwalk to a jewellers where he left us for a 5 minute pearl demo and a 15 minute walk on the boardwalk to take photos with the LaPaz sign… we had all agreed by this time that we wanted to move on to Todos Santos as it was getting late ( mid afternoon) we found Anthony having a beer with a friend and hit the road…the drive to Todos Santos was nerve wracking… he drove over the limit (120) and appeared to be having trouble staying awake and on the road… upon arrival he said we had 1 hour and at first was going to tour us through Hotel California but then abruptly disappeared with the vehicle… we arrived back at the meeting place an hour later and he wasn’t there…waited at least 1/2 an hour, again wondering if he was going to return… he eventually did with a confusing explanation of issues with the vehicle that he ‘thought’ had been addressed…we were all seriously considering looking for alternative transportation from TS to Cabo/ San Jose at this point plus one of the guests was also unwell …. Anthony did not appear even slightly concerned… we also expressed our concerns directly to him about whether he should be driving, he assured us that he was ‘ok’ and again a rambling explanation regarding supervisors’ conflicting directions, car needing to go to the shop , traffic etc… We stayed with him for the drive back but it was a stressful, unhappy few hours. Needless to say, the entire day was very upsetting and disappointing, and certainly not anywhere near the standard of experience that I have come to expect from Viators… Anthony did not receive a tip and I am seriously considering cancelling my Viatour trips that I have booked in New Zealand this coming February as this experience has shaken my confidence in the booking platform. 😞

Tomas (the driver) provided insightful information and offered excellent tips for capturing memorable pictures and enjoying delicious ice cream. He took us to the ideal spot in Todos Los Santos for the perfect sunset picture, ensuring a remarkable experience. We appreciated his fluent English, which allowed for engaging and meaningful conversations throughout the journey. The itinerary was planned exceptionally well, with ample time at the beaches. Loved Balandra but I would have loved it more had we been told to bring our own gear. This is a protected beach so there are no refreshments or beach umbrellas available. There were several vendors outside the park but weren’t advised to purchase/rent prior to entering the park. We also went to La Paz and Todos Santos but our visit was way short and by the time we got to Todos Santos many vendors were closing.

La dos playas son hermosas 🤩, el agua cristalina y nadan cerca de ti los peces. Lo único que me gustaría que se mejorara el tiempo en balandra, dándole mas tiempo a esta playa ya que tiene más atractivos que la segunda, como el hongo y el mirador. La comida, la joyería, el tiempo en el pueblo mágico fueron excelentes. Un tour muy completo y muy amable el personal.
