What To Expect

Make your way to Lou Malnati's to meet your tour guide and group. Set off to taste some of Chicago's most famous foods and see some of its iconic sights during this 1.5-mile (2.4-km) loop through downtown.

During chilly months, follow your guide through Chicago Pedway system, a network of tunnels, ground-level concourses and bridges that keep you comfortably warm. During warmer times of the year, walk along the Loop's scenic promenades.

Visit Millennium Park, a modern town square with a collection of art, architecture, and gardens that provide a stunning backdrop for hundreds of cultural events. Nearby, walk along the Chicago River, a system of waterways that links to the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico.

Along the way, taste quintessential Chicago foods like deep-dish pizza, sweets, and hot dogs. Tastings of locally brewed craft beer can be added for an extra charge.

At the end of the tour, you can continue exploring on your own with a complimentary bike or kayak rental.

Awesome guide, great stops and amazing food. I loved how our guide told us the history of each thing we ate. Telling us how it came about and why it’s become a piece of Chicago history. My favorite stop by far was for the Italian Beef. Bongiorno’s was fantastic. It was the best Italian beef I have ever had. I don’t generally like Italian beef but there are so so good. From the fresh baked rolls, tender meet and by far the best gravy it’s a party for your taste buds. A must stop if your in Chicago even if you don’t do the tour. But I would recommend the tour as well.

Lilly was amazing. Very knowledgeable and very approachable. Our group was relatively small and everything went smoothly. In every restaurant, we had a space reserved and food was served promptly. Clearly, they had been expecting us. Great organization on the tour guide part. I only had time for one tour in Chicago. This was the perfect choice. Not just because of the food. I ended up seeing the whole downtown and also get some history of it. Thank you!

The food was just ok but our guide was exceptional! Janine did a great job giving us the fun history of Chicago and quirky back stories. She was engaging and brought a bunch of strangers together with ease. Having been to Chicago numerous times and eating specific foods we were underwhelmed with the pizza at Lou Malnati’s. They’re know for sausage deep dish yet we got cheese only on tour and it was mediocre. If never been to Chicago this is good to do. If you’ve been then skip this tour

The guide (sorry forget her name) was very knowledgeable and funny at times. The food choices were good, sept maybe for the brownie at the very end, but that’s on me as I’m not a fan of brownies. Good pace and informative throughout. Happy that I booked this tour

I had an amazing time yesterday with Brooke and the group. Brooke is very personable, sweet, outgoing and knowledgeable. She gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip (several us came to Chicago to travel). 10/10 recommend and you’ll be full fersure. The money was well worth it, and happy I was able to exercise in between lol.

This was a wonderful food tour. Our tour guide Greg was friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the deep dish pizza, the Italian beef and Chicago style hot dog. This was all so filling, unlike other food tours, these were full portions not just samples. We did a lot of walking and learned so much about the beautiful City of Chicago. I highly recommend.

Our team had a great time doing the walking tour on St. Patricks Day. We didn't even realize it was happening when we booked our event, so extra bonus point to Julie for navigating us around the busy city on such a crazy day. We loved all the hotspots she hit. We came hungry and it was just enough food. Enjoyed our final stop at the Palmer Hotel and then sat and enjoyed some great Irish music (for St. Paddy's Day) in the lobby with a lovely cocktail (wasn't included, but took advantage of this lovely spot). Highly recommend this tour if you only have a few days in the Windy City!

This tour was a wonderful way to start a trip to Chicago. Brooke was a wonderful tour guide very knowledgeable and personable. We were able to taste all of the quintessential Chicago foods and learn the history of the meals and the city along the way. This tour was a warm welcome to the Windy City and helped me get acclimated to walking in the city, but also was a good way to pick up recommendations.
