The tour operator was wonderful. We have used Viator before. BUT this time we were lucky to be able to take the tour. Viator did NOT explain to us that we needed to request a tour time with the Robie house. We were there at 10 a m and fortunately they had two spaces available for the 2 p m tour ( if they had no availability we would have just been out of luck). This is something Viator needs to explain to purchasers when they make their purchase
Worth the trip to this iconic house designed by FLW.
    Percival_M, Oct 2023
The house is beautifully designed. One of the most iconic designs by Frank Lloyd Wright. Our guide Bryan is exceptional. He's very knowledgeable about the house, the architect and the original owner of this remarkable house.
    No tour recieved.

I arrived before the closing time but they had no tour booked and Saud this was normal fir Viatir si I didn't receive what I purchased and would appreciate a refund
Don't use Viator for the Robie House
    Michele_H, Oct 2023
Our ticket was not valid. We could not get in. Robie doesn't book with third parties. Expense transportation for a ticket that was bogus.
Victor purchased not accepted at venue. You did not provide a ticket and admissions were full.

Viator not accepted at the venue, the Frank Lloyd Wright Robie House. Very disappointing experience for me and my guest.
Well worth your time to see!

The Robie House is amazing! Frank Lloyd Wright was an innovator and a bit of a rebel and it shows in his architecture. So much to see and take in! Beauty plus function. Wonderful!
Great Frank Lloyd Wright building and tour!

We really enjoyed this tour. I am a big fan of Frank Loyd Wright architecture, and I’ve seen some of his other buildings. This tour was very good at showing the home and explaining the design language and choices of the architect.
Disappointed that it was wrong place, wrong state
    Maria_B, Jul 2023
Unfortunately, when I booked it with a Viator representative, Roland, he di not tell me that the location was in Chicago, fully knowing that I was in Phoenix, Arizona. I did not noticed it until it was time to go and when I was putting the directions, that’s when I realized it was in Chicago. So very disappointed and such a waste of my money 😢👎. It really doesn’t help the Roland was also located in the Philippines 🤨 I can’t rate this tour because obviously I was not in Chicago!!! I was in Arizona 😢
    Gilded Age Wealth of Chicago

Our docent was Preety. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The gift shop is small but nice. After the tour we walked across the street to see the church paid for by Rockefeller. It’s pretty amazing inside and out, and it’s on the U of Chicago campus. That’s cool too! We went to the cafe next door to the Robie house but it was too busy. It’s a great neighborhood! We found parking on Woodlawn. After that we went to the Driehaus Museum on Erie and parked nearby in public parking. We did the guided tour for $5 extra. Wow! This is the most expensive house I’ve ever visited. Our son is studying the Gilded Age in Chicago, and we saw three examples of wealth in the city.
    Total uniqueness, total Wright

The row of doors with the beautiful windows was spectacular in the living room, letting all the daylight light the space! The brass sconces everywhere in the house were beautiful
    Excellent experience.

It was a very informative tour. The property is in great shape. One of the best examples of the style. I highly recommend seeing it in person.
Go to the real tour website —don’t be mislead/hassle
    Tracy_V, Jul 2022
Very misleading. Did not have correct info on available your times time or real reservation. We were just fortunate that we were able to get in. Wasted 90 minutes of a short trip. Lesson learned:go to the actual website for the place you want to visit. Sloppy!

I paid tickets by viator..but There nonody had my booking. That was sold out and I don t visit the robie house. Shame on you!
    Frustrating booking process
    Brent_A, Jun 2022
We could not schedule a tour unless we were there in person. When we arrived, it was a two hour wait. It’s because we booked through Viator as a third party company. It’s better to book directly with Robbie house to get a set time.
    Not happy
    Carolann_M, May 2022
No tickets were available after we spent $60 on Uber. Although we had bought the tickets for $108 they had no room for us. Patrons of the house told us they are not impressed with Viator as they do not access ther sales and sell tickets w/o knowing if they are sold out. My bad however for Not reading the fine print that says call them. Still waiting on a refund.
    Excellent, information...

Excellent, information tour. It was fascinating to learn both the stories of the architecture and the residents.
    Not worth the time
    shomisaraj, Apr 2022
Having had an amazing visit to Fallingwater, this was a true disappointment. All the rooms have at most 1 furniture piece and most have none. The guide was so bland in sharing the history of the home that none of the visitors had any questions, we all wanted it to end so we could leave. I would suggest having this home tour at the bottom of the list of places to visit.
Wonderful visit of one of FLW iconic landmark
    Alejandro_V, Nov 2021
Excellent Gide, Mary. She did a wonderful job explaining not only the house but the surroundings and it’s history
    Must do!
    Jami_H, Sep 2021
Our tour guide Bob was great. The house is breathtaking. Very pleasant experience and learned so much.
    Worth the trip

Great way to experience an early Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style house. Guide was excellent and the group was small.
