Sampling the flavour of Florence

Just back from an absolutely fantastic tour with Rhianna. We stopped at 3 different restaurants and a Gelateria, eating a course in each, so we truly did get a real taste of Florence! The Florentine Steak was to die for!! Highly recommended.

Disappointing: Make sure you get an experienced tour guide

We were very disappointed with our food tour. First, our guide, Nathan, did not have the typical Italian warmth and ability to make people feel welcomed and engaged. Nor did he seem to have any prior connections with the restaurant staff. We would also have liked to hear more history and information on the food we were eating. (He didn't even know what type of wine we were being served!) We made four stops, but were not sure how much food would be served, or what the next stop was going to be. So, at our "appetizer" stop, I had only finished half my wine glass when I found that it was time to get up an move to the next stop. Finally, (and the most disappointing) was that when dinner was done, we were still hungry! The food was gone. He never asked if we had enough to eat. I had finished my single glass of Chianti, and was never offered another glass, because the wine was gone. I think the bottom line is: The tour guide is EVERYTHING. I'm sure that the other positive reviews for this tour are merited, because they had a different tour guide. We sent an email to Viator about our horrible experience, but never heard back. Bummer.

Food and fun

Sam was a great guide. The food was excellent especially the steak. Enjoyed the walk nothing was too far and we were able to see some of the neighborhood.

Full meal, wine, and good company

Great experience and well worth the money. Four stops and you will leave full and happy with appetizer, two main courses, cheeses, and gelato with wine at every stop. Plan for this to be your dinner and a great time. Viera was a great guide!

Our guide, Vera, was friendly and knowledgeable, peppering our generous tastings with local history and anecdotes. It was a great way to get acquainted with the city, plus meet some great people as well. Incredible value for money, and a fun few hours out in beautiful Firenze.

Delightful cuisine and Great local knowledge

Rhyanna was a wonderful guide. We had so much fun even though it rained a lot, she handled it well and did a great job of connecting with each guest and sharing insight and local knowledge of Florence. We found her to be enduring and the city’s cuisine to be delightful!

The host Vera was lovely and her English was good so it really helped. She was knowledgable and able to answer questions. The foods were tasty as well although maybe a little bit more of a choice would be nice but also getting to meet and eat with other strangers on the tour was great fun and made it an excellent evening.

We had an unexpected death in the family. We have to leave early and ZERO empathy or compensation was given. Give your money to a group or company that actually cares about you and recognizes that unexpected life events and tragedies happen. I have nothing but negative things to say about Agnes, the person I was in contact with.
