Please follow the parking signs for designated kayak tour parking area and follow the signs on foot to our kayak launch where you will meet your guide. We cannot accommodate guests that do not arrive 20 minutes prior to departure as these are small group guided tours.

Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

Individual cannot exceed 250lbs per manufactures restrictions and the combined weight of 2 paddlers cannot exceed 425lbs
All kayaks are tandem unless otherwise arranged
We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour
Children under 3 are prohibited from participating due to safety reasons
A ratio of one adult to one child (3-17) is required to participate in this tour
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

It was a beautiful experience! Thanks to Davis for being a wonderful tour guide and sharing all the fun facts about the spring and its wildlife. I would absolutely recommend the clear kayak tour to everyone and personally go again.

Davis was great! He was able to take us around the area and maneuver a back way to get away from the crowds. Seeing the manatee mamma and baby was the highlight of the trip!

Ashley did an amazing job as our tour guide. She is very kind, and so knowledgeable about all the trees, plants, animals and of manatees! She kept us on a steady but slow, relaxing pace paddling.

Was great! Belle was our guide, very informative and knowledgeable!! She mentioned manatee. We not only saw one manatee but two manatee and when we got back to camp others had seen manatee and we were able to put on board not just one manatee but two manatee so Belle was able to see and show us manatee! Love manatee 💗

We had a great time with Hunter as our guide. We were not sure what to expect, but it exceeded expectations! We were able to see so many manatee's and manatee babies! It was amazing and we learned a lot about the entire area! I would highly recommended!

Unforgettable amazing tour

This is my first time to take such kind of tour. It was fantastic and far beyond my expectations. I took this tour with my daughter and we were so excited to see manatees during the tour as well as the beautiful river scenery. Many thanks to our guide Davis and photographer Chase to make our tour an unforgettable one. Davis introduced a lot of knowledge to us and Chase took many great photos for us. I have referenced this tour to my family friends and can’t wait to take it the second time in the future. Highly recommend!!!

Cancelled tour for no reason!

A couple of hours before the start of our tour, they sent an email to cancel it because of rain. There was zero percent chance of rain. The temp cool but that was fine with us. They canceled because many people didn’t sign up. Very disappointing !!

I was unhappy about this trip. Staff was nice and polite. I feel that we lost 45 minuets of our trip. We started 15-20 minuets late due to confusion with pater work and came back 30 min earlier. Guide decided that we all tiered and took us back, but he did not even asked . He offered to go back who is wanted for 45 more minutes - who will go back if everybody already get out ????? Plus there was no scenery , just developments and people's backyard. Were all that pretty nature that advertised ???? I so exited to see pretty view, hopping to see mannites . Unfortunately only different houses. Maybe if we used all out time that we paid for and get out of development and everting was there . Do not know. I'm very upset about this trip

We sincerely apologize for the experience you had during your kayak trip and understand your frustration with not seeing as much wildlife as you would like. There are many natural environmental factors that will cause us to see or not see the wildlife of the Weeki Wachee River. We include this information on our website, during the reservation process, + on all communications including confirmation + reminder emails. Setting expectations for wildlife behavior is part of the education we enjoy providing to guests so much! The wildlife we see is wild which is why we say it’s always a hope never a promise that we will see wildlife. We do understanding how disappointing it can be to not see manatees because we love seeing them too! It’s an opportunity for us to provide manatee education and information about their conservation. We also let guests know that our guide will provide information about all the Florida flora + fauna encountered on tour so we are so happy to hear your guide was able to point out wildlife like a snapping turtle, fish + birds and provide you with information about their habitat and all the amazing plants life in our ecosystems!

More concerned about there money that there clients.

We were in a state of emergency due to hurricane Idalia. We called and they said that our tour was still going out. Due to there cancellation policy we continued to go since we were not offered a refund and we could not afford to lose the money. Our guide was very concerned about the conditions. After 30 mins. He turned the tour around and headed back. The other couple also came because they could not get a refund. I’m a little shocked that they let the tour go out in a state of emergency. Not sure how legal that is.

We’re sorry about your experience! We would never put guests out in conditions that are unsafe. We do not operate tours in conditions with lighting or strong winds. Hurricanes can be scary but are slow moving storms. We suspended tours 2 days, 48 hours prior to the arrival of the storm. Many of our guests paddle with us from out of town. It’s disappointing for those guests who have planned their vacation all year so we still provided tours for those who wished to participate since conditions were safe to do so. Any guest that called + requested a refund or a reschedule we happily provided as we know, as locals, that guests might have been in the projected storms path + need to prepare and storms can impact each of us differently based on our passed experience. If you did not call and ask to be rescheduled then we assumed you understood that the storm was still 48 hours away and still wanted to get out on the water while the weather was beautiful + peaceful. Please give us a call or email weekiwachee@getupandgokayaking.com so we can make this right.
