Directions: From the North: Take I-95 South or the Turnpike South to 595 West. On 595 take I-75 North towards Naples. Stay on I-75 North until you come to Exit 23 North (U.S. Highway 27) towards South Bay. We are just two miles to the North on the right hand side of the road. Turn right and cross over the bridge, make another immediate right down into the parking lot. Tickets for the airboat rides and animal exhibits can be purchased in the store. (Yellow building.) What To Expect

Make your own way to Sawgrass Recreation Park for your nighttime airboat tour. Glide along the grassy water at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour (64 kph) while learning about the area’s subtropical ecosystem from your captain. Keep watch for a variety of wildlife, like alligators, turtles, fish, and wading birds, and listen for the sounds of the Everglades’ nocturnal creatures.

During the daytime hours, check out the exhibits inside Sawgrass Recreation Park. In the Reptile Exhibit, discover dozens of species that are both native and exotic to Florida—from turtles, iguanas, and snakes to Cannibal, a 1,000-pound (454-kg) alligator. Feel free to ask the park’s handlers any questions.

In the Glades Exhibit, learn about the history of the area and its conservation efforts in the video presentation, 'Our Everglades Story.' Then check out the African spur thigh tortoises, who range in size from 20 to over 100 pounds (9 to over 45 kg) each, as well as rare gopher tortoises (rescued from a construction site), iguanas, and colorful peacocks.

Captain Disco was very knowledgeable and spotted several gators for us. He also got us up close and personal with the gators making for a memorable experience. My family had a great time. We booked 4 excursions on our vacation and this one was our favorite. The scenery is stunning and the gators are fun. This was both a relaxing and entertaining evening! Highly recommended!

A lot of Eye shine in the Everglades

Our Captin was very personable and knowledgeable about the environment. Gators were out moving, and weather was perfect. The Captin was helpful getting my husband on and off the boat. My husband had his leg amputated and is on crutches. Only negative about this experience is NO Lights from the parking lot to the gift shop. It was dark, steps were uneven and steps were not flat. This was very difficult and challenging to climb up and then down. No lights we’re turned on!! Make sure your cellphone is charged to use as a flashlight.

Wet season but Captain Disco still was able to point out all the different gators and even talked about some vegetation at sawgrass, including cat tails

10/10 we had Josh and he was great we seen a lot of wild life and he answered any and all questions 100% no issue he was very respectful and you could tell he enjoyed his job I would 100% do it again and we got great pictures and videos!

Best Alligator for Your Money

This was an exciting and worthwhile tour. Our captain, Nick, was knowledgeable with eagle eyes that afforded us many opportunities to see new born alligators, “teenagers”, and adult alligators. We even saw other native wildlife on this tour. We didn’t expect to see so many alligators but were pleased with this tour. You will not be disappointed If you’re looking for an excellent alligator tour! This was money well spent and we plan to take this tour again in the future.
