- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Riding quads at Franz Josef was so cool! First of all, I can’t believe how generous the time allotment was, we spent nearly an hour and a half or more on the bikes riding around which is more than I expected for the price. Second, I couldn’t believe all we were allowed to do! We rode through the rainforest and across the river and riverbed. The guides were awesome and everyone had a great time. It started raining as we drove through the forest which made it even better! They provide gear that keeps your clothes clean and I was warm enough for the ride. A+ I’d do it again if I were in town for longer!!

We have done many Quad Tours around the world and we'd say this was THE BEST one we've done. DEFINITELY highly recommend it!!
The uniqueness & variety of the Tour was absolutely AMAZING & undoubtedly EXCEEDED our expectations (by far)!!
Doing sooo many different things on the tour stood out for sure!! From the different levels of terrain, the many mud pits, to riding in the river & then the rainforest! This tour rocked!!
And our guide was AWESOME! Great balance of fun while keeping everyone safe.
We also greatly appreciated that they gave us the wet pants & jacket, boots, helmet & face covering for dust.
We're often concerned on Quad Tours, cuz if you get stuck behind someone who's really slow, it affects the experience. However, it was great, as they had everyone do a few test runs for people to get comfortable and to determine the order. And this worked out great for everyone... and from beginners to experienced, everyone had a blast!!
(Tip for Women: Wear a sports bra! Funny, but true).

A must do experience! This quad tour was much more than I ever expected it to be. So much fun going through the mud and water and see amazing scenery at the same time.

We didn’t go due to weather so we were offered a refund within 3-5 days.
We are still waiting 10 days later

I am really sorry to hear that you have not received a refund yet. I have just had a look at your booking and see that the refund was requested the day that you were cancelled, the issue is that because you booked through a 3rd party the refund comes from them and can take up to 10 business working days (this excludes weekends and public holidays). I would also like to apologize for the delay in reply as we do not check our reviews daily. I would like to think the refund is in your account today being a Monday.
If you could please email us at operations@franzjoseftours.co.nz so that we can have direct contact with you, if the refund has not been returned to you I will then follow it up with the 3rd party and aim to have the refund with you as soon as possible.

We had a lovely group leader I forget his name but was from up the North of Scotland. He made it so much fun and interesting course to get around. Highly recommend off road quad bike adventure.
