- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Sydney was a great guide, taking photos and giving nice information about the land and its formation. Was a calm day on the lake so very peaceful journey, I love kayaking so could have gone for much longer! (not a rigourous kayak at all so if looking for something more physical, would not expect this to be it). The little walk was nice to see the friendly birds and learn about the various conservation efforts in place to help the native birds and help solve the problems of the invaise species.

The kayaks were stable and easy to use. Our guide, Sydney, was friendly, informative and efficient with setup.
The hike was really nice, and I really appreciated the hot coffee during our rest.
The eels were really cool too!

It was a small group of 3 and Linda was our guide. She was awesome. So knowledgeable about the area and wildlife and had lots of good stories too. The day was perfect. Water was pretty calm and we had a big bright view of the snow capped mountains.

The views were incredible! This was my first time kayaking. I’m not a swimmer so I was nervous. Marcus was a terrific and helpful guide and put me at ease. This was definitely a highlight of my seventy-fifth birthday trip! So much information! Much respect for New Zealand’s respect and care for the environment!

Really enjoyed this experience! The views of the lake and the mountains in the background were sensational. The hike was also a unique experience and provided a chance to learn about the different native plants. I'd definitely recommend this! The only issue was a couple of organisational issues and lack of communication.

The weather cleared up just in time for us to have a stunningly beautiful day kayaking on the lake and really enjoy its clear, calm waters. Plus the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary was so rich and vibrant -- absolutely loved the opportunity to visit such a pure example of virgin NZ forest. And the cherry on top was our guide Cameron! Super personable and knowledgeable with obvious enthusiasm and appreciation for the lake/forest, its flora/fauna, NZ history and Māori culture. Don't miss this tour!
