Solo traveler ... good way to get an overview of the city!!! If I was staying in Ghent I would have taken the evening tour as well. Guide has so much to share. Adjusts to questions well but kept the group moving. A lot of interesting facts so much so that I came back to spend a second day here.

Alex in Ghent for the free tour was one of my favorite tours. She was so fun and enthusiastic with everything she shared. The tour started in front of the main building and continued for about 2 hours. She shared so many suggestions in the town and we decided to stay an extra day in Ghent after realizing what a cool city it was. She also convinced us to do the night tour which we also enjoyed, but I still think her tour was the most interesting. The city made her job easy as it was really a beautiful city to visit. The tour was very light walking but the cobblestone is not the easiest to walk on so wear more comfortable shoes. They were very accepting of new comers as the tour is free. But start to finish we had about 12 people and it was awesome the tour was so small. We really got a feel for the city and she did a great job at showing us all the cool spots!

Brilliant walking tour of the city, especially for those who are short on time to explore independently. Our guide expertly mixed history and practical tips/hints so we could make the most of our stay, along with some great recommendations for places to eat & visit. Highly recommend.

I didn't completely catch his name was very informative and enthusiastic about Ghent , gave plenty of historical facts and information about the buildings and characteristics of ghentians , also giving recommendations for places to eat and muesums to see

James was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about Gent. He was quite helpful in making recommendations for sites to visit and dining/ beer options to try during our stay. This was an easy walking tour, accessible to just about anyone. This tour was well worth a generous tip, and I was disappointed to see some of our fellow travelers did not tip appropriately or at all.
