This neighborhood tour may be entertaining if you have a few days stay in Hamburg and are looking for a fun activity to do with friends or family. If you are in Hamburg only for a day or coming from cruise ship - this activity does not go into the main square of city - only the HafenCity neighborhood. Come early, if you miss start time more than 15 minutes, you missed your chance. The place can be tricky to find - it is an appartment on ground floor of a multi story apartment building. May be better for a smaller crowd - one bookbag/ set of instructions to share with too many people gets uncomfortable.

To your points:
1. We write clearly that our tour takes place only in Hafencity and although it includes one of the main attractions in Hamburg (Elbphilharmonie), we do not say that it goes through all of the main attractions.
2. We ask all teams to come on time in order to leave enough space for the next team to play. Its totaly fine if you play a bit faster or a bit slower and meet another team on the way (pass them or get passed by them) but we try to leave enough space between teams so that everyone enjoys the game. Its not always possible on Viator but we do our best to have only 1 team start at the same time.
3. It is true that it is tricky to find us. We do send very clear instructions about how to find us, we are always happy to help on the phone and we called you in order to help you find us.
4. We are always happy to give you more backpacks if you ask for it.
I hope you had otherwise a great stay in Hamburg and were able to enjoy Hafencity.

If you like escape rooms, you will love this! It's a great way to interact with the city and see a lot of the highlights while working with your group to solve different tasks along the way.

We have done a lot of "escape rooms" and a couple of outdoor treasure hunts, and this was one of the best! The puzzles were always logical and worked perfectly in English. You explore Hafen City at a nice pace, and the distance between activities is never too far. The weather was terrible on the day we did it, so if you are booking on short notice, I'd suggest checking the forecast first, the docks are very windy.
The lady running the service is very friendly and helpful.

Nice experience with good exploration to explore hafencity. Challenging puzzles. Recommended for friends or families. People of organization are nice to talk to. Good sense of humor, especially the woman.

It was a great experience. We had a lot of fun. Tasks were very interesting, and kids (14 y.o.) really enjoyed the process. If you would like to explore Hafencity and have fun together, we would highly recommend it.

The host was sweet and spoke perfect English. Pay close attention to her directions! The weather was beautiful and that was good because it took us longer than average to complete the quest, but we saw a lot of interesting things along the way. So worth it! If you like escape rooms, you’ll like this scavenger hunt!

Puzzles were just the right level to be fun and entertaining with continuous good progress and never getting frustrating.
The main emphasis is on having a fun walk through Hafencity and working as a team solving fun puzzles on the way, and discovering new aspects of the area. Our team of four adults definitely enjoyed the experience!

The idea is of a treasure hunt is great. However, as an adult, I found the challenges either too easy or lacking in information and ingenuity. The children were involved some times and bored some others. For me, the general mood was ruined from the beginning, though. The organiser of the Treasure Hunt was very angry with us because we were 7 minutes late. She did not care that her customers were tourists, did not know the city, and had arrived to Hamburg a couple of hours before. Not being late for the game was the priority and she gave us a hard time. The fact that we had come to play a GAME or that we had already paid the 60 euros was not considered. To me, the interaction and the experience were definitely not worth it.

Dear Eric, first of all, I am very sorry that I made an impression that I was angry that you were late. I was very worried that you will not be able to start (maybe thats what made you think that I am angry?) since we were booked out and we do not let 2 teams start at the same time. I was not at all angry - being late can happen.
I am also sorry that the challenges were too easy for you. Unfortunately it is not possible to predict everyone's level in advance and tell you if that would be too easy for you. Most of our groups find the game interesting and interactive. I am sorry it wasn't the same for you.
