The 2 day tour of Ninh...

The 2 day tour of Ninh Binh was good, pace was a bit too fast so you don’t get to absorb each spot. Suggest more time, especially to allow for crowds. Local operator was great and guides were great. The problem was with Viator booking, agent did not tell me that by getting two rooms (group of 3) I would have to pay $50USD extra. This should have been advised up front. At the time there was nothing on their website saying groups of 3 or more had to share one room. No doubt Viator have added this detail now. Poor experience and shock of significant add on cost.

Stunning trip, amazing views, and incredible boat rides! The overnight accommodation was basic, but clean and the hosting family were lovely. The first day was great, and the guide was completely clear on what was happening; on the second day, our guide sort of forgot about us, we were on a separate coach as coming from the overnight accommodation and the guide was bringing a group from Hanoi. We ended up taking 3 different coaches that day, and 2 different guides - without any clear guidance on what to expect. A bit more communication on the second day would have got this to a better rating.
2 day trip in Ninh Binh

There are multiple good and bad things on this tour. Lets start with the good parts. The transportation and the things you visit with stunning nature on this tour are really good and especially the night in the bungalow is a highlight. The dinner and breakfast in the bungalow is also really good. The downsides are: You don't have a specific group you do the whole trip with you basically get added to two separate one day tours. You will have lunch twice at the same place and the items at the buffet range from terrible to edible nothing is really good. On the second day we were in a tour with 25 people which is more than advertised and with such a big group everything takes way more time. You will visit a huge area with pagodas on the second day which is stunning but according to the guide there is not enough time to visit the beautiful tower at this area which was a huge disappointment! Overall there are surely better tours to visit Ninh Binh, you better spend a bit more money on it. I recommend a 2 day tour since there is a lot of amazing things to visit.

Really glad we did the 2 day adventure, amazing experience from beginning to end. Pick up, drop off, accommodations we're excellent, attractions spectacular. Lunch was just ok.
Nice 2 day trip to Ninh Binh

We really enjoyed the 2 boat rides (Trang An & Tam Coc) in the valley area. Each one had slightly different scenery. The tour of the Temple of Emporer Le Dia Hanh was interesting, but the Bai Dinh Pagoda was so beautiful. The lunch buffet was awful on the first day but the lunch at the Pagoda was really delicious. If you can do the tour with the overnight stay.
